We have a STRICT, no partying or loud events policy, and no smoking of any kind anywhere on the premises, including the front and back patios.
So if you or anybody else in your group smokes weed, ganja, MJ, grass, bud, pot, chronic or any other kind of drugs for that matter, then please find another property to rent because you will be required to sign a vacation lease agreement beforehand and if there are any violations to said lease agreement, all of the security deposit will NOT be refunded and you will be asked to vacate the property immediately! Quiet times are absolute and they start from 10 pm at night to 9am in the morning.
Sorry to be a Debbie Downer.....but with all of the hard stuff behind us, let me describe our home.
Our home offers a mix of modern contemporary style and a beach lifestyle.
The house has 3 spacious high ceiling bedrooms, furnished with a King, Queen, and a Full bed, sleeping 5-6 very comfortably. All mattresses offer hotel quality comfort, as well as the pillows, linens and towels.
The couch in the family room and the love seat in the living room convert into a full bed and twin bed, just in case you have 2-4 more guests. We also have a queen size air mattress for extra guests. For Pregnant guests, we offer a Tempurpedic wedge pillow to bring you more comfort during the nights.
We offer basic cable TV.
In the family room, you will find a big screen TV with HDMI 1 hookups should you want to use your laptop to watch movies, stream videos and we provide wifi access for free.
There’s also a 50” 4K TV in the living room on an adjustable wall mount.
Both TVs have an Apple TV so to watch cable TV just open the DirecTV Now app.
The gourmet kitchen has a Viking stove with griddle and oven, coffee maker, microwave, toaster oven and dishwasher. We provide you the standard lot of dishes, pots & pans, cups, and utensils.
Out front, you will find a spacious outdoor patio with a fire pit. Feel free to unwind in the evening and cozy up to the warm fire with a favorite wine.
Did I mention that there is NO smoking of any kind inside or on the property. This includes tobacco, marijuana, and/or drugs. If you plan on smoking marijuana, then don’t bother inquiring. Smoking marijuana in California is only legal when consumed privately, so smoking outside anywhere on the property is deemed not private, hence illegal. My neighbors will notify me and I'll notify the police immediately if this is done.
And did I mention that quiet times are absolute and that they start from 10 pm at night to all the way to 9am in the morning.
Street Parking is plenty and there is a 1 car parking spot behind the garage (back alley) just in case there isn't any street parking. When parking on the street, PLEASE, PLEASE take note of the NO PARKING Dates and Times which is every 1st and 3rd Monday and Tuesday of each month, respectively. We will not be responsible for any parking violations.
The water in HB is hard and treated with either chlorine or chloramine and fluoride is also found in our water supply. So a few years ago, we installed a whole-house water filter to remove those chemicals and other particulate matter from our water. The water is so clean that fish can live in it.
Speaking of fish, in the back area, you will find a small but functioning Aquaponics greenhouse. During the year you will find us growing strawberries, kale, chard, lettuce, and more. If you’re curious, feel free to go inside the greenhouse but please do not touch anything.
We try to be environmentally conscious as much as possible. So we try to conserve and recycle best as possible. The home runs mostly on solar power, especially in the summer months but we hope that you try to turn off the lights when not in use and make use of the kitchen recycling bin and the blue recycle trash can out back.
In the back, feel free to use the BBQ grill. She’s my pride and joy, so please take good care of her. Please treat her like she’s your own by cleaning her up after you are done and by putting the cover back on.
We are partnered with our friend, owner of Zack’s Beach Shop (located at the pier on the beach). Our guests get discounted price on any beach concessions: such as beach cruisers rental, surf lessons, paddle board rentals , etc.
We use one Piper security camera that only faces the front door, as an added security measure for our home. The security system will not be turned on or used while guests are using the home.
THIS IS NOT A CHILD PROOF HOME. For Guests bringing their kids 0-12y/o please make sure to watch them to prevent injuries during stay. We will not be liable for it since you willingly booked the place even with this information provided.
