Why Luis Dinis chose Lisbon Old Town
When we decided to buy and prepare an apartment for rent for the first time, we furnished and decorated it as if it was our own home, trying to make a cozy, confortable and practical place to stay... We came to enjoy this activity so much that we now have more apartments! Eeach one of them was prepared with the same careful consideration, and always in a good very central neighborhood. We also stay there sometimes ourselves, specially when we go out at night to Bairro Alto! I'm sure you will enjoy your stay here. After a tiring day full walking and visits in the beautiful city of Lisbon, you will be happy to return to this well located, practical and comfortable place

Our stay at the Soriano was wonderful. The best part was the open communication with the hosts. They were so helpful in booking a large taxi for the 6 of us to and from the airport. The apartnent is comfortable and well stocked but the shower is difficult to use because of the flimsy curtain and the shower head (it doesn't stay put properly). The apartment is located in an older part of town, so manage your expectations. The surrounding restaurants are excellent. Queimado was very modern and exciting. We enjoyed their fried rabbit and waffles and kimchi grilled cheeese. We also had traditional Portugese food. Some restaurants have Fado singers in the evenings. Everything is walkable. We greatly enjoyed our stay.
Thank you for your hospitality!
We have very much enjoyed our stay in the apartement! When we arrived everything was clean and smelled fresh, and the lady who welcomed us was very nice. The apartment is situated in the city centre, and all of the highlights of Lisbon are on a walking distance. Also, we were provided a document which was a sort of 'guide' through Lisbon - very useful!
Bairro Alto apartment
This was a nice apartment for our family of five. The layout of the apartment was a little awkward, but okay for us since we mostly just slept at the apartment and spent our days out in the city. It's a third-floor walk-up, so be prepared to climb some stairs to get into the apartment. The biggest downside for us was the neighborhood. I don't think it's a *bad* neighborhood, but it was a little run-down. And there were parties in the building/neighborhood every night until 2 or 3 am, so getting to sleep and staying asleep were difficult. All in all, the apartment was good but not great.
Very good guests!
All the booking process and arrival arrangements went smoothly with good and timely communication. They are very friendly and polite, a pleasure to talk to. They left the house in a good state. We liked very much to have them here and I definitely recommend them.
Great location to enjoy Lisbon
No difficulty with the rental or arrangements, our earlier arrival in Lisbon was accommodated as we dropped our luggage there earlier in the day. Our only problem was that we ran out of water for showers on day one. Despite messaging the rental company there was no response. We eventually figured out that the boiler was unplugged in the kitchen - possibly by the cleaners.
Apart from this, we had a great time here and would highly recommend this as a central base to explore Lisbon. Trolley 28 is at the bottom of the street, with a better-than-average supermarket there also. Baixa Chiado is the nearest Metro. There are a number of attractions nearby with the Belém attractions accessible in the west side and Alfama towards the east. This is a lively nighttime scene also and although we did go out as a family (very) late at night, we were not impacted by late night revellers. I would recommend staying here
We have had a very nice time and really enjoyed the comfortable beds. We’d come back again.
Quiet apartment in the middle of exciting quarter
The apartment is renovated with style but keeps the old harmony. Very quite. Very clean. Perfect that amenities one always needs like salt, sugar, coffee, toilet paper etc is available.
Next supermarket is only few footsteps away.
The address is 'Rua Luz Soriano, 16 – 3rd - Dt'.
The BAIRRO ALTO is definitely the place to stay when visiting Lisbon!
You can easily reach the whole historic city center on foot, because you’re already there, right at the center! The Luz Soriano Street is just 1 block away from the famous Bairro Alto bars and restaurants. However, you’ll be pleasantly surprised as this is a residential street where the sounds of the nightlife won’t keep you awake at night.
Down the street you’ll find the supermarket and just around the corner is a bakery with fresh pastries and bread. All around are dozens of restaurants for all tastes and prices.
Stay just 1 minute away from the famous 'Bairro Alto' nightlife or 5 minutes from the trendy 'Cais do Sodré' bars. A 3 minute walk will place you at the beautiful 'Santa Catarina' viewpoint (also known as 'Adamastor' for the statue of the mythical giant standing guard over the park). There you’ll be able to feast your eyes on the majestic river Tejo, the famous “25 de Abril” bridge and see all the way to the South bank, which you can visit by ferry from the Cais do Sodré peer.
Less than 5 minutes away is the 'Luis de Camões' square and its refreshments kiosk, where you can enjoy a typical “ginginha” and many other traditional Portuguese treats, and the shopping district of 'Chiado' where you can find anything, from traditional street shops to modern shopping galleries.
Another 5 minutes will place you in yet another shopping district, the 'Baixa' or downtown, the 'Rossio' square and the national theatre, and the splendid Avenida da Liberdade (Liberty Avenue), a large, tree-shaded avenue where you can find all the international designer shops.
Keep walking (and be prepared to climb or take the tram) and in another 10 minutes find yourself in what used to be the very core of the city of Lisbon, the Moorish castle of Saint George (Castelo de São Jorge). If you’re so inclined, on the way up stop and rest for a moment at the Lisbon Cathedral (Sé Catedral) and its awe-inspiring mix of Romanesque, Gothic and Baroque architecture.
Once there, you’ll be smack in the middle of the 'Alfama' quarter, a wonderful maze of narrow streets and, for many, a quieter night out than the hip Bairro Alto. Here is where you’ll come if you want to experience an authentic night of Fado – you might be quietly sipping wine one moment and the next thing you know, someone will break into song and treat you to the sorrowful harmonies of Lisbon’s traditional, Arabic-inspired music.
The “Soriano” apartment is 1 minute away from the world famous typical nr.28 electric trolley route, less than 5 min from the Baixa/Chiado subway station (400m) and also various buses, taxis and the 'Rossio' train station (to the beautiful, Romantic town of 'Sintra'). Another nearby train station at Cais do Sodré is where’ll want to go for a ride to the 'Estoril' and 'Cascais' beaches.
