The Wild & Scenic Cache la Poudre River offers whitewater rafting, fishing, trails, waterfalls & just plain basking. It's a romantic setting that lets you remember why you like each other, singles will find a lovely respite to recharge! Restaurants and convenience store within 5 miles. One hour from Fort Collins, about two hours from Estes Park and about two hours from Steamboat Springs.

TV with Dish Network, wifi internet, full kitchen (coffee pot, microwave, full oven) and 3/4 bath. Swing set and play house for kids. Deck overlooking the river. Hiking trail along Black Hollow creek. Towels, linens and some sundries provided.

The property has been in the family since 1892. The house and apartment were built by our father and we lived there full time when we were kids, the apartment was orignally built as a place for my Grandmother to live. Since then it has been used as guest sleeping space and rented out for others enjoyment. There are other properties close by and we ask that you respect their space.

The cabin is pine inside and out, is surrounded by beautiful spruce, pine and cottonwood trees. Please respect the space and treat it as your own, Thanks! A note: This is a quiet comfy space. It is NOT a place to come party w/ a large group of friends.

We were looking for a wild and scenic experience, and this was exactly what we were looking for.

This above the garage apartment was comfortable, especially the bed. Nothing is new or fancy, but the location and the deck were totally worth the drive. You hear the river all the time and Dan has the perfect chairs right by it, so coffee time or happy hour is relaxed and comfy. We watched a herd of bighorn sheep one afternoon. It's an amazing property.

Slow down and relax

  • 4 of 5

This was a great place to step back, unwind and relax. Slept with the windows open listening to the sounds of the river. It is a family camp, a little dated but clean and quiet. I would definitely stay again.

Perfect cabin in woods!

  • 5 of 5

Cute cabin in wooded area. Perfect for the 3 of us. Attended a program at Shambhala Retreat Center - 20 minutes away. Very quiet peaceful place to stay. Owner, Dan & his daughter, were perfect hosts. Provided all the information we needed. Would definitely recommend.
