This cottage is all about gathering the people you love and providing a warm, comfortable and fun gathering spot for you and your friends & family. Designed to accommodate 10 people comfortably, this open-concept cottage does not lack in amenities.
Sit back, relax and enjoy the beautiful and serene setting. From the cottage, look out to the uninhabited, breathtaking backdrop. Admire the sunset as it falls across the mountains. Create lasting memories on this 21-acre, 565 foot waterfront property.
Drive on the private road (highway access) and park either at the large grassy play area (more than 10 cars) with weeping willow and picnic table, or drive up the two-storey slope to the landing (2-3 cars) where the cottage is built, overlooking the beautiful 600m by 2km lake O’Neil (and we’re right in the middle!). Feel completely isolated from society (no neighbors in sight) as you walk past the peak of the rocky mountain, by the private fire pit, to the entrance of the cottage. Notice the top-of-the-line BBQ at the front entrance ;).
Inside, take advantage of the suspended chair, 4 gaming consoles, Blu Ray player, board games and piano. A charging station allows you to charge 5 devices at a time, just in case you forgot your charging cables. The live edge single-slab wood dining table will take your breath away. There are three bedrooms - a Master bed (Queen mattress) and two rooms, each with twin-twin and double-twin bunkbeds (9 mattresses total). A quirky covered exterior reading / relaxation nook provides a beautiful view of the lake right from the cottage.
Outside, take advantage of every season. Swimming on a private 40-foot sandy beach, canoe-kayaking or excellent fishing on the lake in the summer, taking long walks along the property and admiring the colors of the Gatineau hills on top of the mountain in the fall, and deer-watching, snowshoeing up the mountain in the winter!
The town of Notre-dame-du-Laus is a short 4-minute drive away and includes everything you need - fishing / hunting supplies, construction materials, grocery & liquor stores and restaurants. Visit the Daoust bakery (yesteryear wood-fired breads and sweets) or the community centre. If you’re an avid ATV’er, come enjoy the trails as the city is a hub for ATV’s in the Quebec region. Cross-country / hiking trails are available nearby as well.
Come create lasting memories at Lake O’Neil.
