Nestled deep in the forest on a perfect, pristine lake, you will find your ideal Wisconsin vacation retreat.
Kayak, fish and hike in the summer, or cross-country ski in the winter, and come home to a beautiful, cozy cottage. The great room looks out at the lake and the private dock. A wood-burning stove keeps you warm and toasty. The kitchen is fully equipped. For your entertainment, there is a large-screen TV, wifi, and music system, as well as board games, puzzles and books.
Filled with original, vintage and handmade touches, you will want to come back again and again.
There are two bedrooms and one bath. We have a brand new washer and dryer, and plenty of towels, linens, blankets, etc.
Ground Hemlock lake is a wake-free lake, and there is no public boat launch, which keeps the lake peaceful and quiet for you and for the fish, turtles, eagles, herons and loons. There are 2 kayaks and a rowboat for you to use, as well as assorted floaty toys. If you like, you can bring your own electric motor for the boat.
Hiking, snowmobile and ATV trails are all around. Nicolet National Forest is 3 miles to the west.
Restaurants, grocery stores, hardware stores and more are 15 minutes away in the town of Crandon. Rhinelander is an hour to the north, and Antigo an hour to the south.
We are 100 miles from Green Bay, 200 miles from Madison, 300 miles from Chicago.
Have a wonderful vacation!
