This late 1800 Victorian has been completely updated but kept much of the original character! It has all the comforts of home and more. Unit is located in the top two floors of this home. Aside from the Victorian charm of this beautiful home, the features include, 3 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms (one with claw foot tub), laundry room, two decks, one with view of downtown Denver, and all new furniture with pillow top mattresses! Master bedroom located on the top floor has a king bed, TV, and black out blinds for late morning sleeping, 2nd bedroom also on the top floor has an A-frame roof line with 3 sky lights and a queen bed, the 3rd bedroom on the main floor has a queen bed and TV. The kitchen is fully stocked with spices, utensils, blender, coffee maker, coffee grinder (with coffee beans), and more., a microwave, dishwasher, and water dispensing refrigerator. Propane BBQ on the front deck for grilling and propane is provided.

There is Wireless internet, three smart, flat screen tv’s, 4K smart TV in living room with a blue ray player, and sound system excellent for watching movies, or listening to music. Download or stream your movies, or rent from the red box at the grocery store. Home has a tandem 2 car driveway to park off street and parking in front on the street is often available.

Conveniently located in the Capitol Hill neighborhood and only 3 blocks to beautiful Cheesman Park. Although there are two tandem parking spaces, you won't need a car in this location. Uber, Lyft, and the bus are more than convenient and quick to arrive. The grocery store is only 2 blocks away and there are lots of restaurants and coffee shops in walking distance. If you are coming from the airport, it is only a 24 mile drive, or you can take the new light rail to Denver's Union Station. A great place to shop and dine.

Denver has much to offer with the local craft beers scattered all across the city and surrounding area, Performing Arts Theater, Museums, Sports, and night life. If you are coming for sports, Mile High Stadium, Coors Field, and the Pepsi Center are all within 3 miles. If you are here for a convention, the Convention Center is even closer at 1.9 miles away.

We are a fun, active couple who enjoy spending time with friends and family. Some of the things we enjoy is to explore new hot springs throughout Colorado, hike 14ers, ski, mountain bike and speed skate. Denver is the perfect hub to get out and explore. We enjoy skating the 2+ mile loop around Washington Park just south of the house, and then head out to a local brewery for beers and appetizers.

Denver has been our home for 20+ years and we couldn't be happy here!

We love the mountains and have 2 other short term rentals in Buena Vista, CO.

Why Margaret & Ed chose Capitol Hill

We chose this wonderful Victorian home because of it's awesome location. It was a great location in 2001 but it has only gotten better since. There are so many restaurants, coffee shops, theaters and parks nearby. Some small venues like the Ogden Theater are within walking distance and a great place to see some big name musicians.

This home is full of charm! From the front porch, to exposed brick, stained glass features, bay window breakfast nook, to the A-framed bedroom with 3 sky lights. You are sure to enjoy!

Very clean, well appointed home with many amenities! Great location.

A planned meet up of several friends from all over the country, converging on Denver, staying at this three level home for 2 days. The home has three bedrooms, one downstairs (with a queen) and two upstairs (smaller bedroom with a queen and a full master suite with a king). For those who may have difficulty with stairs, this house has plenty, so keep that in mind. There is a full kitchen, with a breakfast bar, as well as a small table near windows which overlook the street. The refrigerator has an ice maker, which was extremely handy. A coffee maker with a fully stocked coffee bean grinder, was a welcome sight each morning. Denver had the two coldest days of their year while we were there, so access to the heating controls was fantastic, as well as a separate gas fireplace. We didn't use the balcony much, because of the cold, but I'm sure it would be nice on a warm sunny day. The house also has a washer and dryer, which we didn't use, but it was nice to know we could use them if need be. Our entire experience was only slightly dampened by the lower level renter who knocked on our door before 10pm on a Saturday night to tell us he was getting up early the next morning and asked us to refrain from any loud noises (we had a small bluetooth stereo at talking volume going and of course regular conversation between three people). I think if we stay at another home in Denver, we'll be cognizant of whether there are other people in the same building before deciding to rent. Otherwise, our stay here was pleasant, and the proximity to downtown Denver was great.
