Why Cristina Young chose Isle of Palms
The ground floor apartment is located in an architecturally unique beach house that was designed by the owner/architect, GM. She as been on Isle of Palms since the mid 1970s. You won't find an unnatural manicured lawn on this property as it is surrounded by natural island vegetation that's native to the sea islands of South Carolina. This eclectic apartment with it's open floor plan is approx. 1,012 sqft. It has a private entrance - no stairs or steps – and an outdoor covered seating area for guest to enjoy. Inside you will find exposed brick walls and redwood paneled walls (imported from the west coast), tile floor, cozy sitting room with it's own private sand dune outside, dining table, couch, walk-in cedar closet, tiled shower, and plenty of privacy. The kitchen is equipped with full size fridge, 4 burner stove, toaster oven, microwave and 2-cup coffee maker. **PLEASE NOTE: there is a TV with Roku in the apartment and high-speed wireless internet. So if you need entertainment, other than the beach, you can login to your Netflix, Amazon, HBO, etc.... accounts via the Roku.

Loved our short stay with our dog at this place and will consider staying again. The description is accurate. Nothing new or fancy but very quiet and close to the beach which is what I wanted. The shade helps with overwhelming heat in July in SC. Owner was kind and honest and helpful. The only reason I gave it 4 stars was the ac didn't get cold enough for us at night and we had no control over that. I could stay herefor a couple of weeks in spring and early summer or even fall to enjoy the serenity and beauty of the ocean.
Wonderful stay close to the beach
We have wonderful time , lots of beach time , chairs, beach towels , and boogie board for use
Very close to the beach just 300 feet, great restaurants on the island. Close to grocery store. Apartment specious, but could use bigger bed . Kitchen well equipped if you decide to cook . Only inconvenience was not working washer and dryer.
Great location only about 25 min from down town Charleston and all attractions.
Property was just as described. Quiet, shaded, retreat.
Loved it. Location was excellent
Roomy and comfortable. Not fancy. Shower could use updates but would stay again.
Great anniversary stay.
The space and location were great. Would definitely stay here again.
Very unique property - one might call it rustic. Property is comfortable, but needs some attention to some of the details. It is very dark - could use some window treatments to allow more natural light. Confusing electrical - not knowing what turns what on - some don't work at all. Setting is quite lovely - make better use of it. We loved the little sitting area outside in what was probably a garage at one time. Bed needs mattress replaced or at the least, a cushioned topper. Location to the Beach is perfect - just a few yards down the street.
