We knew the house from our winter's holiday wanting to spend three weeks there again during the summer tells enough about our appreciation! The weather was marvelous of course, but having to stay inside wouldn't have been a problem at all. The house is spacious. The equipment is somewhat dated, but comfortable. Free view front and back, everything works. The village of Wallenborn sits in a beautiful and quiet valley, it has one shop owned by a friendly man who provides a daily supply of fresh rolls and one restaurant next to the local attraction, i.e. the volcanic spring. The house is at the edge of the built-up area, situated between church and cemetery, away from the main road, so very quiet apart from walkers on their way to the forest, and silent at night. The only sound you must become used to is the church bell striking the hours (and once every half-past).

We chose this house as it is on the edge of a quiet village, and ideally situated for visiting the German Volcano region. The description does not make it clear that the house is just 2 minutes walk from Brubbel, one of only 2 cold water geysers in the world, which was a real bonus for us.
Everything throughout the house is very clean, though the seats in the kitchen are a little tired. We slept well, and enjoyed the sound of the nearby church clock. The house was cosy.
There is a small shop in the village which sold bread and beer with a very helpful proprietor (We speak no German). There is a café next to Brubbel, which appeared to be open only at weekends at the time we visited, which served good food.
We had a good break, and would be happy to return.
We found this house very much, it was much bigger than it looked on the picture. The house is located directly on the forest with many hiking trails. You can also watch from huts in the twilight, deer and other animals. The town Wallenborn is also very nice and from there on short trips to make. As to the volcano lakes (maars) Daun, Trier, Bitburg, the Wolf und Adler Park in Gerolstein. We also drove to Burg Eltz, a castle dating back to 1200 still completely original condition. This is 70 km from Wall Borg but very worthwhile. The house itself we found very nice. Everything is very clean and tidy. Everything works and the owner is very nice. You have lots of privacy. In the garden you can enjoy sitting with stunning views of the woods. We were with our daughter of 9 years who has a lot of fun. But looking for a verlbijf with pool, playground and other entertainment for the children you are in this house at the wrong address.
spacious house, basic but adequate furnishings
We have had a wonderful holiday, many weggeweest.mooie environment where you can enjoy wandelen.het cottage was very old fashioned! Also the bell has given us every morning at 6am though gewekt.het tub was really nice but unfortunately there was no hook for douchekop.het cap was beautiful, nice trail right from the huisje.alleen in the village itself was not much to do, a geyser but you're also not quite the day.
We had a lovely time. The house is free, in a quiet location with wonderful views in all directions. You can park your car right next to the house. The reception was very pleasant. The device may find some old-fashioned, but we found it very comfortable and cozy. The bed slept downstairs pleasant. You can anywhere (even from the house) nice walks (walking). If you are going to follow a trail, take a map with you (which was when we were in the house), because the signs are often unclear or even missing. It is a quiet area with small villages, an ideal place if you like peace and nature. For people who love much fun this is perhaps a lesser area to stay. For larger sites (eg Trier), you must drive a little further. Nearby, in Manderscheid, there are two castles in a beautiful valley lying, definitely worth a visit. We would stay here - the house and the surrounding area - so wanted to get back.
