Adjacent to prestigious Hancock Park, the completely updated Windsor House is close to everything LA for a family vacation or a business trip.

Within walking distances are the Ebell Theatre, two neighborhood parks & playgrounds, and several restaurants around the corner. Lovely 1-mile stroll to the farmers market (Sunday), shops & dining in Larchmont Village. A short drive to Mid-Wilshire, LACMA, the Grove, Beverly Hills, Hollywood, Universal Studio, and Downtown L.A.

The Space

The bright and airy Windsor House was built in 1921 with a recent, tasteful complete remodel. While maintaining its original charm, this spacious 1600-sq. ft single-level house offers an open floor plan and modern kitchen and bathrooms.

The kitchen is furnished with stainless steel appliances and fully stocked with cooking essentials. Ground coffee and teas provided for your convenience.

Original coved ceiling and comfortable seating in the bright living room. Full-sized sofa bed. A 49-inch smart Roku TV is equipped with a HDTV antenna for local channels, and a Sling TV blue package (45 premium channels). Feel free to log in with your other streaming accounts.

Spacious master bedroom with a king bed, in-suite bathroom and walk-in closet. Bedroom #2 provides a queen bed, a closet with full-length mirror sliding doors, and a separate entry into the backyard. Bedroom #3 is furnished with two twin beds. Blackout curtains/blinds and luggage rack in all bedrooms.

Your comfort is our priority. The king and queen beds are each equipped with a Novaform 14" Serafina Pearl Gel memory foam mattress, top rated by Consumer Reports. All our linens and towels are high quality and 100% cotton. A Pack 'n Play and a high chair are available for those traveling with an infant or toddler. We are happy to provide books and toys upon request.

Private backyard with fruit trees (help yourself!) and romantic lighting, ideal for al fresco dining. 2 parking spaces on driveway. Free street parking. Keyless entry. Unique code will be sent to guests prior to arrival.

About Daniel and Yang

Hi there!

Daniel is originally from Toronto, Canada. Yang spent most of her childhood on a tropical island, Hainan, in China. We both moved to LA in the early 2000's. Separately and together, we lived in many LA neighborhoods: Bel Air, Santa Monica, Mar Vista, Culver City, Miracle Mile, and Carthay Circle. These diverse and fun neighborhoods remind us how deeply we appreciate the rich culture and amazing food in LA.

The Windsor House is our first home and we love how central it is to everything LA has to offer, yet situating in a quiet, family-friendly neighborhood. When we lived there, we loved playing with our son at the playgrounds right around the corner. Walking to the Farmer's Market and having lunch at Burger Lounge in Larchmont Village was our Sunday ritual.

Spacious, well equipped property in a good location

We thoroughly enjoyed our recent 5 night stay here. Daniel and Ying were excellent hosts and very responsive to any questions or requests.

The house itself is spacious, very clean and well equipped. The bathroom to the master bedroom is particularly nice -

modern, airy, large powerful shower and twin sinks, decorated to a high standard. The bed and pillows were also extremely comfortable!

The garden has a table and chairs and a canopy covered area for some shade. It would have been nice to have a couple of sun loungers to relax on after a busy day exploring, but really, that's my only criticism about this property- it's a great place to base yourself from if you want to explore all that LA has to offer.

Location is good too - near enough by car to the main attractions of LA but also within easy reach of the beaches. Does depend on the traffic though!

All in all, a great property and pleased with our find!

Awesome place to stay in LA!

Daniel and Yang, your house was perfect in every way! Everything was as pictured. There was ample space for all 5 of us. Easy check in! Easy connections to Wi-fi. No complaints whatsoever. The house is centrally located to do all we wanted to do including Hollywood, Beverly Hills, Dodgers Game, Santa Monica Beach and Venice Beach plus downtown to have dinner. We could not have had a better place to stay and we will definitely stay again the next time we are in the LA area.

Great house, location, and hosts

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this house. It was very clean, and we are picky about that. It was in a great location to enjoy many different parts of LA. We did all of the Hollywood things, as well as spent some time at the beach. It was easy to get everywhere. Daniel and Yang provided everything we needed and were very responsive. We did not have any issues that needed to be addressed, but they still responded to questions very quickly and stayed in touch to make sure we knew they were available if needed. We would definitely recommend this house and would gladly stay here again if we returned to the area!

Highly recommend clean renovated house.

My family of 8 really enjoyed our stay at Daniel and Yang’s house. House is super clean, open layout and fully equipped. Daniel also provided extra bed for kids to sleep more comfortably. Superb house and location, highly recommended.

Good location for a visit to Universal Studios. Very nicely remodel and owners are very responsive. Only downside was the lack of A/C.

Owner's Response: Hi Edward, Thank you for being great guests and for writing us a gracious review despite the fact you weren’t able to use the central A/C in the house. Again, we feel terrible to only learn about the confusion after you left. We wish we could’ve communicated during your stay and made your trip a little more comfortable. As we discussed earlier, we will include more information on how to operate the thermostat in our house guide. TO FUTURE GUESTS: there is central A/C newly installed in 2014. We also upgraded to a “smart” Nest thermostat in February. It looks like a big dial (copper and black) and it is right next to the alarm panel in the hallway. The Perfect Place !!!!

We, family of 8, all really liked this beautiful home. Lavished with plants and flower and fruit trees. Rooms were clean with very comfy beds . Nice open floor plan. Good for elderly mom loved it no stairs inside. The back yard oasis gave us time to unwind and relax. The parks near by was a bonus.

Knowing that the owners were just a phone call away was comforting. And helpFUL. Thank you

If you need a place to stay this is the one couldn't ask for anything better .
