Nice, quiet escape
Adorable, private "cottage" in a great location! Close to one of my favorite seafood restaurants! Anne was very responsive and actually checked in to make sure everything was okay. Other than the humidity during college move-in, trip was perfect!! Will be back when visiting my girl
The house was ideally located for what we wanted to do. Anne was a gracious and attentive host, making herself available in case we needed anything. The home was clean and comfortable for two. We would, and hopefully will, be staying again.
We had a great stay at Jack’s Alley and Anne is a great hostess! The house is in a safe neighborhood and is only a short 5-7 minute walk to the streetcar that will take you to the French Quarter and everywhere else! I would recommend staying here and making it to magazine Street for Mahoney po-boys and tacos at the Rum house!
I am so glad you made it home okay and I thank you for the great things you had to say about Jack's Alley. I am so impressed by the many kinds of adventures you came up with from food tours to hole in the wall shops and eateries. You are always welcome back - we would love to visit again!
Our Little Uptown Creole Cottage!
We really enjoyed our stay and even enjoyed the company of Miss Anne! She is amazing and really put together a great place. Great restaurants within walking distance along with the Streetcar right on the corner of Napoleon and St. Charles. It is perfect! Even though there are so many great places to visit. We opted one night to just take the street car to The Fresh Market, purchase everything for a nice seafood dinner and cook it right there at our Creole Cottage! Very relaxing and we will be doing it again soon!
The aroma of your dinner would make any Cajun weep! I am so glad you enjoyed yourselves and hope you will return for another visit - but stay a little longer next time! Enjoy your cabin!
Great place for 2.
Clean, cute place, great location, easy access to trolly
Best place to stay in New Orleans
This was such a great place, so nice and clean. It is so close to the trolley we only drove twice. Anne is the nicest person we have ever met. We are from Fort Smith Ar and the roads were flooded to our house. we didn't know if we could get home. Anne said that we could stay for as long as we needed at no charge. There are not many people as generous. We loved everything about Jacks ally, also we love Jack!
Elaine and Gary were incredible guests - kind, thoughtful, funny - they had it all. And this was during an incredibly stressful time when their entire town was going under water. When I think of what was done for the people of New Orleans after Katrina, my offer was a no-brainer. They are always welcome at my home.
Located in residential area within walking distance to several excellent restaurants, ranging from 5-star to pizza.
