The 7-bedroom home, which sleeps up to 18 people, sits on a large lot among towering trees, with glorious views of the Great Smoky Mountains. Spacious and private, this is a place for relishing nature’s beauty and the company of family and friends when you’re not exploring the nearby attractions.
The large front porch and rear deck of Bear Hollow Lodge enable you to revel in the sights and sounds of the Smoky Mountains. Kick back on a rocker with your morning coffee as wrens and warblers greet the day; watch the sunset while eating dinner at the deck’s dining table; head outside for a nightcap under the star-studded sky before calling it a night.
You can savor the view from the living room too, courtesy of its large windows and French doors leading out to the deck. Furnished with 3 sofas and a TV, the living room is a comfortable space for unwinding after a day on the go. Downstairs is a 2nd gathering spot: a roomy den with a large-screen TV and a huge (and hugely comfortable) sectional sofa. If you’d rather play a game than watch one on television, head to the game room, which features a full-size pool table.
Bear Hollow Lodge is close to numerous restaurants. When you’re traveling with a crowd, though, it can be more convenient to dine in. The house’s sizable, sunny dining area can seat the whole gang at its 2 tables and breakfast bar. Likewise, the large, open kitchen is fully equipped with stainless-steel appliances, gleaming countertops, cookware, and tableware so that you can prepare and serve even a holiday feast. There’s a gas grill on the deck as well—mmm, barbecue!
All 7 of Bear Hollow Lodge’s bedrooms include a flat-screen TV. Two of the bedrooms offer a king-size, and one of those rooms—the master bedroom—has French doors that open onto a balcony, so that you and your sweetheart can indulge in some romantic stargazing before cozying up in bed. Three more bedrooms have a queen-size bed. With its queen-size bunk beds, the 6th bedroom can sleep up to 4 people. The kids can take over this room; every night will seem like a slumber party! The 7th bedroom features a futon that converts to a bed for 2. And one of the living room sofas opens into a queen-size bed as well.
The master bathroom is especially pampering, with a jetted tub as well as a separate shower. When you arrive at the lodge, you’ll find the beds impeccably made up, extra bedding ready and waiting, and plenty of clean towels for all the bathrooms—no need to bring your linens from home. In fact, because the house has its own washer and dryer, you can pack lighter than usual.
