There is a possibility of sleeping one more in a closet under the stairs (think Harry Potter!)

Just what we were looking for
Quiet little basement apartment. Nice little neighborhood. Close to everything. Easy to contact the friendly owner.
My husband and I really enjoyed staying here. It's a great apartment, and it's in a great location. Very warm and friendly. We would stay again!
This place was awesome. Very close to campus, comfortable, and the owners we're very friendly. Highly recommended.
A unique apartment managed by an excellent host!
We enjoyed our stay in this basement apartment across the street from a lovely park that is home to black squirrels! Even though this apartment has a Harry Potter-esque room under the stairs...Gayle Black is nothing like Mrs. Dursley! Au contrarire! She was in frequent contact with me before our stay which reassured this first time Home Away traveler. A plate of freshly made chocolate chip cookies was waiting for us on the kitchen table. What a blessing on a rainy, chilly Palo Alto Night! Gayle left a list of places to shop and dine and we made good use of it. She messaged us several times during our stay to see if we needed anything and was very respectful of our privacy! When we did ask for a few things she quickly made them available.
The apartment's tall ceilings gives it a very spacious feel. We had plenty of space to cook, eat and visit with our daughter and son-in-law. The couch and bed were comfortable and the closet was well-stocked with plush towels and cotton sheets. The bathroom is tiled with non-slip surfaces and the shower works very well! Having a washer and dryer is a plus!
We felt very safe and secure here. Very close to downtown Palo Alto's California Avenue and Stanford University, we passed through lovely, low traffic neighborhoods as we walked to stores and restaurants.
We would stay here again! We have had very good hotel experiences in Palo Alto but our stay in this apartment far surpassed them!
Lovely apartment in a quiet neighborhood
This is a perfect apartment in a beautiful home. The neighborhood is quiet. We also had great street parking. We were visiting my daughter for family weekend at Stanford and the campus was a few minutes away. The owner was really nice, helpful and responded quickly. I usually stay at a nearby hotel that I love. Since I brought my parents on this trip we decided to book a rental. This place is so perfect I’d rather stay here then a hotel any day!
Very clean and quiet!
I wish I would have found this place three years ago. I have been having to stay in Pal Alto once a month to every three months for almost three years and this apartment was perfect. It's five minutes to where I needed to be. The owner is really nice, place is very clean and it has that warm feel to it. We will be back in May!
So glad you enjoyed our place Terry. We look forward to hosting you again.
