About the property

1 bedroom 1 1/2 bathroom condo with spectacular ocean views

With the recently completed renovations at the Kihei Surfside Resort, unit 204 now offers spectacular floor to ceiling views of the pacific Ocean and the West Maui Mountains from the Kitchen, dining room and living room areas.

The living room has a flat screen TV with basic cable, a DVD player, a CD player and free Wii. There is a library of free movie DVD's available at the front office.

The kitchen has a full sized refrigerator, a glass top range with an oven and a microwave oven and is adequately equipped for everyday food preparation and dining. If you enjoy grilling, there are two large high efficiency gas grills located on the front lawn. The kitchen is also equipped with a coffee make and blender for you use.

The bedroom has a king sized bed with two night stands, a dresser, and a closet with a built in safe. There is another dresser in the hallway for additional storage. The main bathroom has a walk in shower with a hand held shower head and the half bath has a small storage area that occasionally has boogie boards, lawn chairs and other items of equipment that have been left behind. You are welcome to use this equipment when it is available.

The front lawn is a beautifully landscaped and meticulously maintained expanse of land that makes the perfect gathering place for young and old alike. Want to simply lay back and relax or work on your tan? Grab a lounge chair and move it to your favorite location on the lawn. Need to work on your putting game or try your hand at shuffleboard or bocce ball? Simply go tho the front office, sign out the equipment free of charge, proceed to the 9 hole putting green, shuffle board court or any open space on the lawn suitable for playing bocce ball and have fun.

The Kihei Surfside is only a one minute walk to the beautiful Keawakapu Beach. This is an excellent beach for swimming, surfing, bodysurfing, boogie boarding, paddle boarding, snorkeling or simply walking and enjoying the tropical sights.

The Kihei Surfside has a very unique location on the South Maui coastline and when you find yourself reflecting back on the time you spent enjoying the serenity of the early mornings with a cup of coffee on the lanai, or watching the Humpback whales breaching over the Pacific Ocean in the afternoon sun, or mingling with your fellow guests on the lawn as you listen to a chorus of conch shells heralding the passage of another beautiful Maui sunset, you too will realize what a magical contribution your stay at the Kihei Surfside made to your Maui experience.

Why Robert T. Dietter- TA-44-977-7664-01 chose Kihei

We rented at the Kihei Surfside for 10 years and then finally bought a unit when we realized there was no other place we wanted to visit. We have owned our unit now for 17 years. The location is very unique and has stunning views. Some of our best days in Maui are spent just hanging out at the Kihei Surfside.

Maui is a beautiful island and one could easily spend their entire vacation here and not completely explore all that it has to offer. Many do the drive to Hana with its 52 miles of scenic beauty connected by 620 hairpin curves and 59 single lane bridges. Another popular adventure is the morning drive to the top of Haleakala Mountain to catch the sunrise. This mountain is 10,000 feet high and can often be 35 degrees colder than the temperature at sea level, so plan on taking warm clothing. If you're not an early riser, don't despair. The view is breathtaking any time of the day. The humpback whales come to the Hawaiian Islands every year from about December to the end of April to give birth to their calves and mate. Everyone should plan on at least one whale watch since sightings are almost always guaranteed and the whale behavior can often be spectacular. The Islands of Lanai and Molokai are easily accessible from Maui by water taxi or tour boat. Sail Trilogy offers tours to Lanai that include a guided tour of the island and provide ample time to kick back at the beach, go snorkeling, or hiking. Occasionally when swimming in Manele Bay you can find youself swimming with a pod of spinner dolphins. A trip to Molokini for snorkeling or scuba diving is also exciting.

Maui is also a great place for a wide variety of physical activities. Maui has world class locations for surfing, windsurfing and kite surfing. Even if you don't surf or windsurf, plan an afternoon at Hookipa Beach Park to watch the pros. You may also see as many as 50 green sea turtles at a time sun bathing on the beach at Hookipa. There are miles of beautiful beaches on Maui, so even if you don't care to learn how to surf or windsurf, boogie boarding is also a great way to enjoy the surf. Maui has numerous locations along its shores that offer great snorkeling. Paddle boarding and ocean kayaking are also immensely popular sports. There are also many beautiful golf courses on Maui.

Maui is also only a short flight away from Oahu, Kauai and the big island of Hawaii. If you go to Kauai and only have a short amount of time to take it all in, definitely consider taking a helicopter tour of the island that can boast of having some of the highest and lowest rainfalls in the world. If the lava is flowing on Hawaii, a visit to Kilauea can be truly exciting and is definitely worth visiting both during the day and the night.

Maui offers abundant opportunities for both the professional and amateur photographer alike and it is also a good idea to take along a good pair of binoculars on all your excursions.
