The Sea Monkey House is a new private home designed by Italian architect Anna Iola Zanetti, an innovator in the field of sustainable architecture. The sustainable screened-in, open air bamboo design and the cathedral ceilings eliminate the need for air conditioning, enhancing guests' experience with the sight and sounds of monkeys, jungle birds, and the soft roar of the surf.
The deck, plunge pool and porch offer extensive areas to relax outdoors. There is an additional outdoor shower.
The Sea Monkey House is ideally located in the jungle, abutting the Cabo Blanco Nature Reserve and a two minute walk to the beach of Playa Mal Pais, where the fishermen bring in daily and sell the freshest fish. The world-known Santa Teresa beach is a five minute drive from the house. Ziplining, surfing, snorkeling, horse riding on the beach, fine dining, yoga and deep-sea fishing and inshore fishing are very close.
