Perfect for our family!
First impressions are important. Incidentally, I was pleased from the start.
My unit's building was easy to find, and parking was ample.
Unlike my visit to another building, I was relieved to have short wait times
for the multiple elevators to my unit's floor.
Upon entering my unit, I was elated at the view, and cleanliness. Every item in the unit
seemed as though it was gingerly cared for by its previous stewards that stayed before me.
The appliances seemed as though I gave them their maiden culinary voyage.
There were plenty of dishes, utensils, etc. to prepare, cook, serve, and consume my meals.
My only complaint is that there were no kitchen knives. Thus, if you book this unit, bring at least one cooking knife.
My biggest pleasant surprise when I headed to the beach was finding a large, sturdy, beach umbrella. It was big enough for 2 people. If you book this place for more than 2 people, bring additional beach umbrellas as the ordinance officers will make you take down a portable shelter.
The two pools and the gym were never crowded. Even if this place caters primarily to families. That was a welcome change from a very congested building I stated elsewhere on a previous vacation.
I ate at the Cabana restaurant/pub in my building. That was another pleasant surprise. The bartenders were very charming, and the food was exquisite. Especially their Mahi dishes. Their entertainment on Friday, and Saturday evenings ushered a relaxing, yet engaging atmosphere.
My stay was a bit pricey for myself (i.e. ~$2k for the week). Even though I booked it 2 months in advance. Thus, really consider booking this place by no later than March, if it'll help with the pricing.
The area near the hotel was accessible to various restaurants, shops, and even a very modern Winn Dixie supermarket with an extensive beer/liquour selection. Therefore, I didn't have to wait long in traffic at all to re-supply my vacation's provisions.
If you're looking for a location that's rowdy, & even hedonistic like PCB, this is the wrong place for you. But, if you want a relaxing place that's not overly crowded, this will suit you fine. Especially if you like to walk down the main strip behind the beach.
Hope this helps,
-Edwin G.

My family and I have been coming Ariel Dunes 1 and 2 for years and this unit is the dirtiest one by far. They have a 10 year old very nasty original carpet. The master bathroom have mold in one area, a broker glass on one of the tables. It felt like we stayed in a different building. Do not rent this property.
