Get away from it all in this 1200 sq ft, 2 bedroom 1 bath secluded Alaskan hideaway! We are away from from the light pollution of downtown so northern lights viewing is spectacular from our large deck with fire pit. We are located just 12 minutes from the University of Alaska and 5 minutes from Moose Mountain for skiing and snowboarding.
We have 2 bedrooms. The one downstairs has a queen size bed and small office area. The room upstairs has a queen bed and a full size futon. There is cable tv upstairs and down. There is a washer and dryer and the bathroom has a shower with lots of hot water! The house is heated with a Toyo oil stove and a wood stove. The house is very open to allow good air flow. We do not have WiFi but do have a cell booster for cell phones.

I was born and raised here in Fairbanks and have been here all my life! My husband recently retired and we now live most of the time on our sailboat in southeast Alaska. If you have any questions about Fairbanks or traveling around Alaska, just let me know!
Owner purchased this House in 2000
Why Owner chose Fairbanks
This is a very quiet peaceful property surrounded by big spruce trees. Moose frequently wander into our yard and spruce hen are often in our driveway.

Very warm and cozy secluded home.
Northern Lights visible from deck and upstairs bedrooms. All amenities available. Very pleased with this property.
Quiet peaceful home
A wonderful place to stay with two bedrooms and a very well stocked kitchen . The house was much larger than expected and had everything we could possibly need. It was warm and cozy with an amazing view .
We are two nurse friends from work and enjoyed it as not only our base to explore but also a quiet refuge to sit and enjoy . We never even turned on a TV . I enjoyed cooking and reading some of the books there .At night we went up the hillside for a view of the Northern lights which we saw for two of our five nights. . Highly recommended place to stay .
The place is nice and cozy, with amazing views. Artha, the owner is super helpful and prompt. Had a great time at this place!
