Perfect for our large mostly adult family!

  • 5 of 5

We had the best time!

Serenity Bay was as described and pictured. My two grown children, SIL, 13 yr old daughter, husband, and sister all enjoyed the spacious common areas and bedrooms. We never felt cramped. Marina and bay access were about a one minute no wake ride away. The beach was a 5 minute golf cart ride away. While we were unimpressed with the restaurant and pool at the marina, we did enjoy the pool table and bar. The actual marina store and bait shop were stocked well and the prices weren’t too bad.

We enjoyed most mornings on the top deck drinking coffee and evenings were best spent underneath the house in the swings and pier fishing listening to the provided stereo and outside speakers.

The staff at Gary Greene rentals were helpful and quick to accommodate our needs. The house and bathrooms were clean and well maintained. Beds were comfortable. Bring your own small appliances, Tupperware, and ziplock bags as there was only a Keurig, coffee pot, and toaster provided.

July 2018 Stay

  • 5 of 5

Perfect in every way! The people at Gary Greene were very helpful & friendly. Serenity Bay (the swing house) was perfect. The neighborhood felt very safe. The property had a beautiful gated yard. We spent all of our time in those wonderful swings downstairs. I loved the underwater fishing lights! What a nice surprise as we almost bought one then didn't need to! The convenience of having a fridge, fish cleaning table, restroom & shower downstairs was great! The outdoor fans helped ward off mosquitos. The decor & colors of the home were beautiful, with super comfy mattresses & couches. The kitchen was stocked with everything! We had 6 girls (who all needed immediate showers after the beach) & we never had an issue with hot water. I love that the owners chose "sturdy" furniture & plastic wine glasses in the bar. It's definitely family of all ages proofed! The only negative things I could mention are that the vacuum stunk when we used it, & it would be better with a washer/dryer but I would definitely stay again!

Very relaxing place to stay!

  • 5 of 5

We rented the property for 3 days and 3 nights. It was very peaceful and relaxing! We had two 3 yr olds with us as well as a 6 and 9 yr old. We were impressed that the kids could not get near the water without assistance. It helped us enjoy the stay!

House was nice, but lacked basic amenities

  • 3 of 5

The house was nice and big, but it did not have a washer and dryer which was a huge inconvenience considering the length of our stay. The description of the property should address the lack of washer/dryer clearly. The housekeeping service provided the bare minimum, 1 roll of toilet paper for each bathroom, 1 roll of paper towels, 1 trash bag. The kitchen could use a restock - there wasn't a cookie sheet which was frustrating. The kitchen cabinets were poorly organized - it was almost as if the owners preferred we not use the dishes, they were so hard to get to. Many of the electrical outlets didn't work, and the light switch situation was very confusing. If it were my property, I'd take a label maker and label the light switches. Owners should probably replace the mattresses as well. Location was good - quiet neighborhood, and the swings downstairs were a lot of fun. The outdoor shower and swings were by far the best part of this property. Overall, I think this house could be really great if the owners did a refresh of some of the issues I mentioned above and worked with the leasing company/cleaning crew to address some of the basic amenities that were subpar.

Great for a family!

  • 4 of 5

Great overall experience! Location was very nice and about 15 minutes outside of town and close to many areas to access the beach. The house has a great open layout which we loved. The dining table seats 6 so we were all able to eat and play games at the kitchen table together. Definitely bring fishing poles because the lower dock was fun to fish off of. At check in they give you a key to a private pier to fish off as well. The beds were very comfy and linens were nice. The bathroom outlets do not work, the main bedroom has a vanity with an outlet underneath that I head to use to get ready. The ice machine in the kitchen didn't work either. Besides those minor things everything else was great and we'll definitely be going back.
