Great family vacation!

  • 5 of 5

House had everything we needed! Was short easy drive in town. Great communication with staff. Does get warm upstairs as no A/C upstairs but cools off at night with windows open.

Great house, bad location, & middle of the night unwanted visitor

  • 1 of 5

I would have given this vacation house a 4 bc the house itself was nice but there were cigarette butts all over the ground and this is a non smoking home and property and there were no curtains on any of the windows including the bathroom. But we gave it a 1 star bc on our second night there we had an unwanted person knocking on the front door around 12am and we had two kids sleeping downstairs on the hide-a-bed and they were too scared to get up so one of them texted us. I notified via email to the Vacasa and I got a generic response back. We thought it was an isolated incident until it happen the next night again along with a loud sound on the back porch. We emailed again and this time we got a call back but it was more of them telling us there isn't a problem. We asked them to report it to the police but not sure if they did. After my husband and I spoke to the property manager they asked us what we wanted them to do about it as if we were blowing it out of proportion. I told them they have a problem here and he told us he had never had a problem before. Again he asked us what we wanted and my husband told him they should compensate us for this ruining our time. The Vacasa person told us he couldn't do that so we told him then we will never do business or rent with them again and would NOT give them a good review bc this ruined our time bc we were scared and on edge.

After a lot of back and forth he said he would see if he could give us 15% off our next stay from one of Vacasa's houses BUT we had to either not give a review OR only mention the curtains were needed on the windows. After a lot of talking between my husband and me we felt this was blackmail to keep our mouths shut bc he told us if we mentioned the problems of the middle of the night knockers and the scary looking neighbors houses then they would never get anyone to rent this place again. We also let them know that their locked mailbox had been crowbared into which it wasn't like that the day we arrived. Out of good faith and the safety of other guests we felt we needed to be honest about our experience. We would never forgive ourselves if we didn't address this problems and someone else experienced the same thing. So we are declining the 15% off they offered us as hush money to be truthful about our stay.

Owner's Response: Hi Colleen, We apologize thoroughly for the way you were treated by our local staff. While we do have quiet hours we are not able to control what happens beyond the unit we rent out. The Customer Experience Agent as well as the Local Manager should have politely explained to you that your best course of action would be to call the police as they would be the ones who could help you and figure out the situation. As a part of the reviews team I can guarantee you that we never blackmail people to hide part of their reviews and I will be looking into who told you this as it is entirely incorrect and not at all okay. We appreciate your honest feedback as it will only help us grow as a company, and your 15% off will still be upheld if you choose to use it, I promise you that. We apologize for the cig butts and the issues you faced. I will be in contact with the local staff to make sure future guests are not treated as you were. We do hope you allow us to house you in the future so that we can show you what Vacasa standards truly are!

Great Private family home for kids and adults

  • 4 of 5

This house was great. Enough room for everyone to sleep comfortably. The lay out is kind of weird. The light switch for the bottom bathroom is not right by the door so at night, you have to be careful stepping in since there are stairs (weird layout of stairs in the bathroom and upstairs, in one of the bedrooms). I would suggest leaving the light on in that bathroom. They provided laundry detergent, dishwasher detergent and bathroom amenities which were great but you will need to bring cleaning supplies or wipes and extra paper towels to clean off counter tops. Other than that, I would stay at this house again. The kids love the hot tub and the property is very private. We stayed in the winter where there was a lot of snow. Will need a car that has AWD to get up to the property since its on a steep hill. Bring sleds since its a great place for kids to slide down!

Leavenworth Guest House is a gem!

  • 5 of 5

We absolutely loved our time at the Leavenworth Guest House! The hot tub was perfect for relaxing after an afternoon exploring Leavenworth. The well-stocked kitchen made it easy to cook meals, and the layout of the house made it perfect for hanging out and privacy, no matter your mood.
