Island Colony 2206 is a Studio, 1 bathroom with full kitchenette covering 309 sf Interior and a 104 sf Lanai. It sleeps 1 to 4 guests. With 413 total sq feet living area, it's 78 sq feet (23%) larger than the average Waikiki Condotel that sleeps up to 4. The average has a total of 334 sq feet living area. See floor plan in the photos. The apartment was remodeled in 2014.

It's ideally located in the Heart of Waikiki on the 22nd floor. That's higher than all other Studio Condotels Penthouse floors. It has stunning panoramic views day and night. The building is one of Waikiki's tallest skyscrapers and features resort-like amenities.

Throughout the unit you'll find smooth ceilings, 18 inch limestone travertine flooring, air conditioning and Internet Wifi. The en suite bathroom was upgraded in December 2016. It has floors and walls clad in 18 inch travertine limestone imported from Turkey . It has a solid cast iron tub, hand held shower head, custom lighting and a mirror on the wall that always tells who is the fairest of all.

For the culinary arts, the kitchen features a smooth 4 burner cook top, tile back splash, 1.7 cu ft stainless microwave convection oven range hood, 10 cu ft refrigerator freezer, 92 cu ft built-in hardwood cabinetry, under cabinet lighting, sink, disposal, cookware and tableware. Just bring your favorite herbs and spices.

For sumptuous comfort, the freshly minted living room features a Queen Size Bed, Headboard, Italian Leather Sofa Sleeper Couch, Coffee Table, 48 inch Flat Screen HDTV with 200+ basic and standard channels, Black Out Drapes, Sheer Curtains, 12,000 BTU Air Conditioner, Ceiling Fan, Wardrobes, Framed Mirrors, Framed Artworks, Sprinklers, Smoke Detector & Central Alarm.

There is a comfortable desk space with built in USB chargers for Android and iOS devices. Just bring your laptop, maps, itineraries or conference plans.

The Living area opens to the 104 square foot private Lanai through wall to wall – ceiling to floor windows and sliding glass door. On the Lanai you can relax in a wicker love seat with coffee table or set up the hardwood drop leaf table to accommodate meals for 4 persons. At 220 feet above the water the Mountain, Canal and City view is stunning – including Friday night, New Years and 4rth of July fireworks shows.

Island Colony is a Condotel with 745 units. It's one of ten tallest buildings in Waikiki - even taller than Trump Tower. Built to maximum height, 350 ft in 1979, it was superbly constructed by serial award winning Haseko. That's as high as the combined height of competing Luana, Palms and Aloha Surf condotels. The building association completed a $6.5 million renewal in 2014. Robin co-sailed a 42 yacht across the Pacific Ocean past the edges of hurricanes. Both of us have lived and worked over seas in 8 different countries for a total of ~ 30 years. We know travel!

Not worth the money and false allegations of damage

We did not find this studio up to the standards that we have seen in other vbro rentals. Furthermore we were charged for new sheets that we did not damage.

Owner's Response: We have rented this unit out to ~500 guests over the past 10 years, accumulating an average of 4.5 stars with another vacation rental marketing website. 58% of our reviews are 5 star reviews. We just signed up with vrbo. The unit was recently remodeled just before this guest checked in with high quality furnishings and fixtures you won't find in units priced much higher. Travertine flooring and walls imported from Turkey, full kitchenette and more. See the ad and photos for yourself and compare. The guest did not report and subsequently denied damages. We showed the guest date, time and geo-coded high resolution photos taken immediately after the guest checked out. Broken glassware. Permanent stains on sheets. We got cut by broken glass shards when cleaning after this guest checked out. We had to spend extra time and expense attempting stain removal as well as shopping and purchasing replacement sheets. This is our first booking with vrbo. Must be beginner's luck. We don't recommend this guest to any other host.
