Hi! I'm Suzan, an inspiring entrepreneur trying to live the simple life. I grew up in Fairfax County, VA but have been blessed to travel to many parts of the US and overseas. I love baking bread, cooking seasonally, sustainable farming, traveling, my children’s Waldorf school, all outdoor activities (camping, hiking, white water rafting, ... etc.) skiing, interior decor, architecture, coffee, and too many other interests to list. After living all over, we now call Durham our home and love all it has to offer. Our goal is to make your stay as comfortable as possible and provide you with all the things we love to have when we travel.

Nice place to stay.
Communication with the owner, Suzan, was excellent. The location was perfect for us! We experienced a full night's power loss (9pm-5am) in the whole development which was unfortunate and unsettling. We almost went to a hotel. The inside needs to be somewhat cleaner (cobwebs) and the patio is crumbling badly in spots. I advised them of these issues.
The townhouse was decorated beautifully and the place was very clean. It was perfect for our weekend away.
Comfortable, well-equipped, excellent value
Our family of four had an excellent stay. In the past we've stayed in hotels in downtown Durham, and while this isn't as convenient to downtown restaurants, etc., it didn't take long to get there and this provided us with much more room to spread out, a clean and well-equipped kitchen, new washer and dryer... and our teenage daughter had her own bathroom. Suzan was very friendly and helpful. A really good experience!
Clean and Quiet Place!
The place was cleaned and in a quiet neighborhood. Comfortable beds and rooms. We enjoyed watching the birds and squirrels outside the windows.
Nice spacious place with all the amenities of home.
Nice home. Doorways are small for wheelchairs and a big step from the curb to the walkway was difficult to navigate so we had to push wheelchair on grass, which is tough too.
A good addition to the home would be a bath chair. This would be great for the elderly and the disabled. The bathtubs were nice, low and accessible.
There was a smell that gave away the presence of pets and possibly cigarette smoke in the house. This was the only downside for us as 2 out the 3 of us immediately developed allergic rhinitis and cough.
We probably should have asked about pet exposure ahead of time knowing that 2 of us have allergies.
Altogether, a nice stay for us and spacious enough even when other family members came to visit us there.
I'm happy to hear you had a wonderful time Bunmi! It was my pleasure hosting you and the other guests. I'm glad I was able to accommodate your requests because my guest's comfort is my goal. I would have also been more than happy to bring over a bath chair had you asked me. As we discussed prior to your booking, my home is one story and does have one step into the property. I also did my best to describe the home to you and if you needed exact measurements of the doorways I would have easily provided that information as well. As for pets, we have never allowed pets in the home. We also do not allow smoking under any circumstances in or on the property. I did however have a professional ozone treatment done to eliminate any possibility of a smell you might have perceived.
Clean nice home. We enjoyed our stay!
So happy to hear that Tiffany! You guys are always welcome!
