About the property

Experience the Florida Keys like they were always meant to be. We promise you will fall in love!

Make your Home-away-from-Home this charming retreat located on Conch Key. The moment you step inside you will fall in love. This cottage is a comfy 2 bedroom, 1 bath single-family home with western views on the Gulf side. This property is filled with lush tropical landscaping, beautifully set to allow guests to unwind in a relaxed and secluded setting. The natural backdrop of the pristine Gulf waters and sunsets from the dock are stunning and unmatched. This is a perfect spot to honeymoon, have a small family vacation, a fishing trip, diving, snorkeling or sightseeing trip, or simply escape from reality.

LOCATION IS KEY! Located bayside at mile marker 63, eight short miles north of Marathon, 20 miles south of Islamorada, and 63 miles from Key West. This small whimsical island is filled with history, local fishermen and an ambiance like no other. The large barge anchor on the property grounds dates back to the days when Henry Flagler was building the railroad to Key West. Within walking distance is the historical Long Key Bridge where guests can fish, experience the morning sunrise, or ride vintage bikes available for our guests to enjoy. A fish house on the island where commercial boats unload their catch of the day is an added bonus to this island location. There is nothing better than a meal of fresh grilled fish or lobster. Great dining spots and shopping are a conch throw away.

SEAS THE DAY - OR JUST RELAX - YOU'RE ON ISLAND TIME! The property dock can accommodate up to a 40' boat on one side and 25' on the other. There is also a 12' x 8' floating platform. Mean low tide is 4-1/2'. Guests can dock their boat, jet skis, kayak, or simply sit and enjoy the serene surroundings of this mystical Island. The crystal clear surrounding waters allow guests to witness the abundance of marine life including Manatees, turtles, fish of all types and lobster living in their marine habitat. The outdoor patio overlooks the Gulf and is an ideal place to enjoy a bite to eat or morning coffee while watching pelicans diving for their breakfast. Transform the dock into your own private and romantic dining experience in the evening with a portable dining table, your fresh catch, ambient lighting, and of course, the natural backdrop of paradise.

The interior of this home is beautifully updated, air conditioned, comfortable and impeccably clean. There is a comfortable king size bed in the master bedroom, 2 single beds in the second bedroom, and an extra-large bathroom with double sinks. One of the best surprises of all is an outdoor shower located right on the dock - you may never shower indoors!

Located on Conch key and walking distance from the cottage is a boat ramp/launch, a convenience store to purchase bait, ice, and tackle. For your entertainment, besides the beautiful view, this home has a flat screen TV with premium cable, high speed internet and several books, movie dvd's and of course some Island music CD's. Full size washer and dryer. This property can accommodate guests' boat trailer.

Have fun falling in love!

MORE THAN A VACATION

MORE THAN A VACATION

We anticipated a relaxing and enjoyable get-a-way at Conch Cottage but we received so much more. This small tropical fishing island took us out of reality. As we pulled in the drive, we were captivated by a beautiful and quite unique tree. The cottage was inviting, cozy and charming with warm wood throughout. It was spotless and offered all the amenities you might need, from kitchenware, coffee maker, wifi, movies & books to beach towels and first-aid supplies. The master bed was exceptionally comfortable - we had the best sleep ever! The large bathroom was very accommodating with double vanities and mirrors. The view of the water from the kitchen island was amazing as we prepared our fresh fish for a romantic dinner out on the porch - with subtle lighting strung across the mature palm trees. No need for a schedule, we let nature and the beauty of the island plan our days. The clear gulf water allowed us to enjoy the colorful fish and a huge, friendly turtle. The large dock with a handy shower was an extension of the cottage where we spent much of our time fishing, feeding the birds, relaxing with a book & a refreshing drink or taking our kayaks out on the peaceful waters, always making sure we were back on the dock for the breathtaking sunsets. Later in the evening, star gazing was a must as we sat and watched the spectacular display in the heavens. The bicycles allowed us to get our daily exercise on the "old bridge" across US1 which is now used for fishing, walking and biking. A roundtrip walk on the bridge is nearly five miles! The quaint store on the island came in handy for a breakfast sandwich, getting fishing bait and buying our daily fix of their delicious key lime pie. Another cool feature on the island was getting fresh fish & lobster from the fishermen as they arrived back from a day at sea. Restaurants and other activities were close by and a day trip to Key West was perfect. If you want more than a vacation, spend a week or two at Conch Cottage. It will be an experience hard to forget. We'll certainly be back.

Great stay!

  • 5 of 5

Our stay at Conch Cottage has been great. The cottage has everything you need to enjoy your stay, plush towels, jack and jill bathroom with two sinks. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes, glass ware, and a Kuerig 2.0. The water off your private dock is clear, like looking into an aquarium. The fishing was good off the dock and bridge. There is a small café/store a short walk away.

PERFECT FOR ROMANTIC GETAWAY!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I went down for a wonderful romantic get away and we found the perfect little cozy cottage on Conch Key! Cute, quaint and cozy are the best ways to describe the cottage. Like stepping back in time but with all the modern amenities. So much attention to detail! AND THE SUNSETS! BREATH TAKING SUNSET VIEWS FROM THE DOCK!

The dock was perfect for us to launch our kayaks and see so much marine and wild life. The dock is just as well appointed as the cottage. Equipped with an outdoor shower, cleaning station and hose. The wild life and birds are so accustom to people that they don't shy away from you if you are out there enjoying the sun. And the fish, never have I seen so many!

We road bikes around the island, such a cute little fishing village! We crossed over US1 to take advantage of the fishing bridge on the ocean side that connects two keys together. It is such a lovely ride, especially first thing in the morning! A safe way to ride along the ocean without being in traffic.

We found great restaurants with in a few miles, Robbie's is great for massive bloody Mary's and a big breakfast but really enjoyed just bringing groceries back and cooking in the cute kitchen. The kitchen was completely stocked with everything needed to prepare romantic dinners.

My husband and I had such a great time reconnecting with each other that we are looking forward to making it a annual trip.

BEST VACATION EVER!!!

  • 5 of 5

I can’t wait to go back to conch cottage again!!! I’m already thinking of my next trip. I stayed there with a couple of friends for 5 days and was so sad with it came time to go home.

I couldn’t believe all the marine life that I got to witness right on the dock! We had a boat and were able to dock it right at the cottage so it was extremely convenient to go out boating every day.

One of the highlights of my stay was the outside shower on the dock. It was really cool. I also rode a bike for the first time in 25 years. The island of Conch Key is so cute and all the people were so friendly.

Luckily it was lobster season while I was there and we would set the folding table up on the dock and eat our lobster while we were watching the sunset. It was beautiful.

The house was extremely clean and they had everything we needed. I can’t wait to go back. It was the perfect vacation.
