About Greg Bloom

Our family owns this beautiful mountain house. We live in the Denver area and love to do all the great outdoor activities that this area affords.

Greg Bloom purchased this house in 2004

Why Greg Bloom chose Northwest

We bought this for a get-a-way and for our family and friends to use as a home away from home to unwind, relax, and have fun! Near town but not in town, so it is a very quiet and relaxing home.

What makes this house unique

The Views, the views and again I say the views! You are way up on a hill overlooking the lake and forest. Handicap accessible ground floor room with murphy bed, kitchenette and bathroom.

Perfect Family Retreat!

  • 5 of 5

This home was perfect for our large family get-together. Adults and children alike were pleased with the comfy accommodations! The cousins loved having their own "bunk" room to have a space by themselves. We had the option of being separate or being together with plenty of room to spread out There was everything we needed for cooking meals and lounging at the house, and it was just a short walk to the lake. We took advantage of the fire pit in the back yard to make smores and relax after a day playing in the mountains. Beautiful! We'll be back!

Our favorite getaway

  • 5 of 5

We’ve stayed here 4 times and are looking forward to another week this year. We keep coming back because everything about it is just perfect – we feel right at home. The house is always immaculate and the views are incomparable. There is plenty of room for everyone to comfortably relax. It works so well for our large group with the right mix of bedrooms. This house is really set up to accommodate large groups – we can all eat together inside in the dining room/kitchen area or on the deck (three tables there and a beautiful view) or in the backyard at the picnic tables near the fire pit. The house is a short walk to a marina for fishing or boating, a short drive to the town of Grand Lake, and not far to the entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park. The house has everything to make for a great vacation. We love coming here and you will too.

2014-15 winter holidays!

  • 5 of 5

We had 3 families stayed during Christmas and New year holidays. We won't forget it. It is such magnificent views from bedrooms and second floor deck. Multiple levels provide needed privacy and a gathering place at the same time. Enough space for kids and adults. Kitchen is a little bit small for a big group but we managed it and had no problems + it has all you need to cook and bake. Owners are very nice and accommodating. Great house great place. Lots of staff to do and easy to reach. During winter 4x4 recommended. Thanks owners to sharing their place with us. We have enjoyed our vacation.

Perfect for large groups or multiple families

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in the summer of 2014 and although it rained most of the time that we were there, we still had a good time. It is close to a RMNP entrance, has great views of the lake from the multiple decks, kids enjoyed the hot tub, and there is a fire pit out back that we used a couple of nights. There was plenty of room for all 3 families. Owners were very nice and accommodating.

Family Wedding Vacation

  • 5 of 5

Our family of 11 stayed for three nights in June 2014- we had a wonderful time. The view of the lake is awesome. We had more than plenty of space for our family, with five rooms, three showers/bathrooms, a deck, spacious living room, and 3 large dining tables. The house is generously stocked with anything we needed, from cooking supplies and clean, comfy linens to movies and games. We enjoyed the large deck where we could grill, eat, drink, and be merry- all while taking in the beautiful views. The homeowners were great to work with- always available to answer questions or offer helpful advice about the area. We will definitely be back!

Eighteen of us enjoyed a ...

  • 5 of 5

Eighteen of us enjoyed a wonderful ‘family get-away’ in the summer of 2009. This was a first for us as an entire family, and no one was disappointed. As each group arrived, I heard exclamations of how beautiful and spacious the place was, so it was obvious that it exceeded everyone’s expectations. This mountain home sits on a hill with an unobstructed view of Lake Granby just a couple of blocks away. Each one came with an expectation of what they wanted to get out of this trip whether it was just having the whole family together in a beautiful mountain setting, seeing wildlife, fishing, boating, hiking, or hanging out and playing board games and cards. We ate breakfasts and evening meals in. One night we had a fish fry—a tasty addition to the previous evening’s leftovers. Special bonuses were the hot tub, games of whiffle ball in the backyard, and a Saturday night bon fire. Our five-year-old grandson was delighted to find a couple of adults who would eat his roasted marshmallows, which were burnt to perfection. That night he told his dad, “I love this house,” and in the morning he said he didn’t want to leave.I heartily recommend this beautiful home to your family.
