The left side of the duplex is maintained as a private residence. You will be renting the right side of the duplex. 2017 upgrades include - Upper kitchen cabinets replaced with lower cabinets receiving new doors and drawer front and new hardware for all. New stainless steel LG refrigerator, stove and dishwasher and new gas grill. Counter tops, sinks, faucets and vanity lights replaced in Jack-n-Jill bathrooms. Upgrades less than one year old are new flat screen TV with Blue Ray DVD, new faucet and microwave in the kitchen, new dishes and flatware, re-upholstered dining chairs, new carpet and mattresses in twin bedroom, new bedding in master, many new décor items (pillows, rugs, etc.). Homeowners ensure property is properly maintained and up to date and constantly makes improvements ensuring you have a relaxing and comfortable stay. Our guests love this house (we have nine families that come back every year!! - one has been coming for 12 years straight!) and once you have stayed in Buck Island you will not want to stay anywhere else on the OBX!
All linens and kitchen utensils are provided - all you need to bring is your sunscreen, bathing suit and food (grocery store is short walk across the street).
Sleeps 8. One King, one Queen, two bedrooms with twin beds. Pack-n-play is available (but no infant crib).
Buck Island is a private gated community that is immaculately maintained. You literally do not need a car when you stay in our home. You can walk on the tree lined sidewalk to the beach! Or head west and cross the road to shop and dine in the Timbuk II shopping center or go north across Albacore Street to Monteray Plaza where you will find more shops and the Food Lion. Take advantage of the resort style community amenities such as the Olympic sized pool, tennis courts, cabana house, private beach boardwalk, etc., available exclusively to Buck Island Guests.
Book a vacation everyone can enjoy. The northern beaches offer abundant activities such as the Corolla Lighthouse, Whalehead Club, wild horse sightings, or you can travel south to Kitty Hawk, Nags Head and Roanoke Island where endless recreational activities await you. Just want to relax? It's all here - you won't be disappointed.

About: We live in Ohio and have enjoyed the Outerbanks for about 25 years. Each year we spend 4-6 weeks in the fall and again in the spring on the OBX with most of our time spent doing home improvements, upgrades, and maintenance to keep the home in tip-top shape.
Why Buck Island, Corolla, NC, USA:
Corolla is less comercialized than most of the communities on the OBX and Buck Island is very quiet and laid back. But, our location enjoys the convenience of nearby shopping and restaurants all within walking distance.
