Went to Yountville for a getaway and this house was amazing. Walking distance to all of the great restaurants. Minutes to either Napa, St Helena and Calistoga. Easy access and plenty of parking.
My wife and I stayed from January 7 to February 9, 2015 in this beautiful home. The house is young, large and well appointed. We used both the indoor gas fireplace and outdoor wood burning fireplace regularly. The patio is beautiful. The location is absolutely perfect and we walked to every restaurant in town as well as church. The house is two minutes from the north/south highway road, south to Napa and SF and north to St. Helena, Calistoga and over to Sonoma Valley. The Silverado Trail is also nearby, along with a golf course and literally hundreds of vineyards. We met the owners who drove up from SF to meet us and are lovely, helpful, accommodating and attentive. If we have the opportunity to visit again (from snowy Massachusetts), this is where we will stay. Our family and friends visited and there was plenty of room and space for all. This is a five star rental as far as I am concerned.
The house is lovely, furnished tastefully without the rental trademarks. It is a 2 block walk to downtown Yountville. You can spend days dining and tasting wines without ever getting in your car.
The outside area is beautifully landscaped and very serene. You will come home fully relaxed.
My wife and I stayed at another property in San Francisco, owned by the same person. So we decided to rent from him in Yountville. The home was clean and well maintained. We watched dvds in the evening that were provided in the home, used his ice chest for storing wine purchases while we drove around different wineries, and was thankful there were extra plates and glasses for entertaining visitors. The tv stopped working on a sunday morning, but the owner replaced it with a new tv the same evening. Unbelievable!! What great service!!! The home is near parks, wine tasting, restaurants, and shopping.
We stayed in February and enjoyed the location and amenities of the well maintained home. We walked to Bouchon's and the Caboose for morning coffee and for dinner we would walk to the award winning restaurants. We hardly used our car. The house was well equipped with dishes, glasses, towels, pillows, which made it easy for entertaining weekend guests stopping by. Loved how the kitchen opened up to the family room. We enjoyed sitting out in the park style backyard drinking wine we picked up from Girards, Jessops, and Hall. Home exceeded our expectations. The owners were very accommodating and we look forward to coming back next year.
