About Ernie and Lori Passaro

Our family has been enjoying the 1000 Islands area since 1980. Our family of 7 purchased this charming farm house in 2003 making memorable memories for all. Our family enjoys fishing, boating and discovering all that the area has to offer. Since then our family has grown and now we enjoy having the grandchildren explore this beautiful vacation area. We spend the entire day on our waterfront and then later gather around the campfire to witness the spectacular sunsets. There is so much to see and do here on or around the St. Lawrence River. Many quaint little towns including Cape Vincent, Clayton, Chaumont and Three Mile Bay offer family activities and events throughout the summer season. We know that your time spend here will also be memorable for you and your family. If we can be of any help in any way please don't hesitate to ask!

Why Ernie and Lori Passaro chose Cape Vincent

Spacious, private, historical and always a good time. We love the fact that if we want to head into town, about a mile and get involved with the activities we can walk, bicycle or go by car and then simple head back the short distance and enjoy the quietness and relaxation. Perfect place for a wedding, family reunion or that special birthday.

What makes this house unique

One of the unique benefits of vacationing here is that it is private. Private yard, private waterfront. Also that we furnish our home with everything you would need to be comfortable with a charming décor. We have exceptional views of the River where you can experience the mighty ships and the changing of the pilots anywhere on our property. Awesome area for photos with family and friends.

A week of solitude and peace

  • 4 of 5

Lori and Ernie were wonderful hosts. My family and I planned a trip in June. We were so excited to finally get an entire week together. My husband could not wait. Unfortunately, on July 10th, only a few short days before our trip, he died from injuries he sustained in a tragic accident. As a family, we felt we would honor my husband and take the trip to mourn our loss and also to gather our hearts and strength to return to our home and carry on.

Lori and Ernie were so wonderful to us. They were helpful and kind, and even gave me a gift to enjoy for my birthday, which so happened to be during this week. They were very understanding when some family members and friends joined us throughout the week. Hopefully, my family, although not whole, will return to enjoy this peaceful retreat for years to come.
