About Tim and Eva Rhode

The Rhodes

Tim and Eva Rhode purchased this house in 2013

Why Tim and Eva Rhode chose Huron

This home's unique California ranch design was chosen and built by beloved family members in the 50's. The extended Rhode family is very sentimental about the house and after managing it as a rental for several years, it was purchased from the estate so that it would remain in the family.

What makes this house unique

The location is wonderful and the home is well-stocked, including interior spaces that make it perfect for generational entertaining and group dining. This home makes vacationing together a breeze!

Great Home !

  • 5 of 5

The home was well furnished and spacious! Owners were very helpful and great at responding to questions and providing all the details about the house, furnishings, local area, etc. There were 6 adults in our group - 28th annual gathering of friends. We have rented many places, and I think this was one of the top 10. We loved not needing to scrub bathrooms and vacuum and other cleaning before leaving. Makes our time away more like a true vacation. Thank you for sharing your home with us!

Very roomy and great for family gatherings.

  • 5 of 5

This cottage was a great size for our family. Plenty of room for everyone. The children enjoyed the beach toys, bikes, and games. It was an easy walk to the beach. Plenty of beach chairs and and water toys. The linens and towels were included which made things easier for us. Our children were 7, 9 and 11-They playey on the back patio and we could watch them from the family room and dining room. There is a nice play area in the basement. The kids liked the restaurant-like booth tables there and playing cards in the evenings.

We did cook meals in, for the most part, and the the kitchen was well stocked.

We enjoyed our stay very much.

Just a suggestion-we could have used a blender, a mixer -to make a cake ( we were celebrating a couple of birthdays), and a crock pot would have been nice but not a big deal. Overall, we had a great visit. Thank you Tim and Eva for sharing your home.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your kind review, Mary W. We are pleased that the house suited your family's needs, especially making it fun for the kids! I'll look into your crock pot and mixer suggestions for 2018 to improve the kitchen. We have an appliance closet (the door is accessed from the laundry hallway) where a charming vintage Waring blender is stored. Thank you, again! The Rhodes

Very Relaxing Vacation

  • 5 of 5

Your house was one of the best places we stayed at. Very clean and had everything we needed. We definitely loved the big setting room...our kids said it reminded them of the Brady Bunch living room ;) Loved the short walk to the beach and the walk to the grocery store and DQ was pretty nice also. Sitting out on the patio in the evening was so peaceful too! Thank you again for opening your home to us.
