I am a retired RN who has nursed in Florida and NYC. I grew up in Mount Vernon, NY in Westchester County, and have also lived in Carmel (Putnam Cty), NY. I now live in one of the 4 units in my complex where this vacation rental is located, with my two Westies, Angelina and Rosie. We love it here.
Owner purchased this Apartment in 1992
Why Owner chose Venice
i purchased this property because the Gulf of Mexico is my Happy Place and I wanted to retire here. This unit has just been remodeled and newly furnished to be a vacation rental. My other units are annual rentals. We are in a beautiful residential area that even has some mansions, safe and quiet, yet in walking distance to everything.
What makes this Apartment unique
An extremely desirable location.

Very clean, everything we needed was there. Good location.
Elaine was vey friendly and helpful. Elaine gave us lots of information on places to see and do. The apartment was clean and well supplied. Walking distance to historic Venice close to everything else. There was a bistro set outside our door to enjoy a morning coffee or lunch. If you want to relax in the sun you would have to go to the beach as there was no yard to lay in.As long as you are aware of that I would recommend to anyone. We have 2 big dogs as the property is pet friendly. Elaine's daughter was visiting and was very friendly and helpful as well. Thanks Elaine
Elaine was very hospitable allowing me to put items in the refrigerator long before check-in and allowing me to keep my bicycle in her enclosed garden area. The location is great within walking distance to the beach, the main shopping area, and the farmers' market on Saturdays. Bike lanes go right past the apartment to Caspersen Beach and various other bike trails.
So glad you enjoyed your time here and were able to pedal along our many streets and bike paths. Venice is a great little town and I am glad you chose to stay here.
Super location and comfortable accommodations.
Elaine was a pleasure to work with. The location was perfect -walking distance to center and shops and minutes to the beach. The unit was slightly dated but very clean and comfortable.
Dear Nancy and Jim,
So glad you were pleased with your stay here. Jim is a great fisherman and I enjoyed all the fish....a nice perk to having you as guests. And I agree that my 1972 green Formica kitchen cabinets are dated. I almost didn’t buy the complex because of them, but over the years I have come to enjoy them.
Thank you for staying here and for your review.
Elaine was very accommodating, property and condo were very nice, looking foreword to a return trip.
Thank you Michael and Kathy for being my first vacationers and writing the first review.
You were excellent Vacationers. We had some unexpected happenings like when the water heater leaked all over the bedroom and had to be replaced. Thank you for helping us mop it all up.
I’m glad you had fun here and sampled all the fine restaurants on Venice Island.

Venice is in Sarasota County. We are known as the Cultural Coast of Florida for our many live theaters, opera house(Sarasota), museums, art centers and the Institute of Lifetime Learning. Every Sunday on Venice Beach join the free drum circle that drums down the sun. Nearly every evening there are free programs at the Venice Beach Pavilion. We have free yoga daily on Venice Beach, free tennis and basketball courts, free concerts in the park every Wednesday afternoon. February brings spring training with The NYY, Boston Redsox, Baltimore Orioles, Phillies, TB Rays, Pirates all within 1 hr. Drive. We have several fantastic restaurants within walking distance. The votes have just come in for The Best Of Venice; the best Italian is Cassariano, Golden Corrale is best barbecue; BEST seafood, tied between Finns and Crows Nest, best. breakfast, Blue Island Bistro Best beach view restaurant, Sharkeys on the pier. All these BEST restaurants are on Venice Island . The U.S. BEST beach, Siesta Key Beach , is close by in Sarasota. Sarasota Jungle Gardens are a delightful place to spend a day; Their famous performing parrots do their show at noon..try not to miss it. Bush Gardens is 60miles north of Venice.
