We enjoyed a wonderful week at Carl and Kathy Coletti's beautiful rental home on Cathance Lake. The house proved extremely comfortable for our group of four adults and three kids, and was well equipped to take care of all our needs. The lake access was excellent and just about everybody caught some bass fishing from the dock. A definite plus during our stay was the fact that Carl and Kathy live next door and could provide us with valuable information about just about anything relevant to Lake Cathance and the surrounding area. They are really nice people and we will certainly stay with them again when we return to Maine.
Great view of the lake. Well equipped kitchen. Plan to enjoy the pure, clean water of the lake. We boated, swam and wake boarded. Ample deck for outdoor dining.
Upstairs master bedroom with good view of lake. Downstairs twin beds can get cold, but there is a fan to redirect the heat. Parking for boat. Amazing hosts live next door to answer questions and attend your every need. Highly recommend.
Absolutely perfect week. The property was immaculately clean and well maintained. The photos on line actually understated the beauty of the lake. The owners were kind, pleasant and generous. The fishing was great and the location was perfect for day trips to Acadia, Bar Harbor and Lubec (whale watching). I would recommend the property to anyone that enjoys a quiet time and that appreciates an unspoiled view of nature. Carl and Kathy are great hosts!
This was one of the best vacations we have ever had in Maine. The cottage was beautiful and the view was just amazing. My kids who sleep until I drag them out of bed were up fishing every morning by 7:00 am!! They caught lots of fish right from the dock. The swimming was nice and the ladder on the dock made it so easy to get in and out of the lake. The water is crystal clear and you can see the lake from all 3 floors. The owners, Kathy and Carl were wonderful hosts and there were fresh cut flowers from the garden waiting for us upon arrival, such a nice touch! They were so helpful with all of our questions and they really go out of their way to make your vacation comfortable and relaxing. We ate at The Blue Bird Ranch for lunch in Machias which we all enjoyed. I highly recommend this rental as it has it all - a beautiful cottage, amazing views, fishing, swimming and gracious hosts.
Situated on a beautiful and clean lake, this updated cottage has all the comforts of home. Fully equipped with enough space for our family of four, it was comfortable even on a couple of rainy days we had during our stay. Much to do, swimming, snorkeling, fishing, boating, and lots of points of interest within an hour drive. Highly recommended.
