This unit is situated at the northern point of Pleasure Island. Far enough from the pier so beach access to actual beach. If you go farther towards the fishing pier the large rocks take over the beach area. Because the unit faces south, you can also see most of the Carolina Beach town scape and will have a great seat for the weekly summertime fireworks! This property offers two pools, is a few steps to the ocean and a short walk to Freeman Park 4wd drive-on beach and fishing pier (which houses a tackle shop, restaurant, and tavern that overlooks the ocean). The unit is fully furnished; with an equipped kitchen, washer/dryer, TV, DVD player, DVDs and books.
All brand new furniture, bedding, washer/dryer, appliances.
Carolina Beach boasts a newly renovated and colorful small-town style boardwalk and walking strip with shoppes, restaurants, bars, Tiki Bar, party boat, boat launch, fireworks, regatta and amusement park (during season), retail and grocery stores, coffee shops, live entertainment, and the famous Britt's Donuts! Camping, lakeside events, Fort Fisher and the NC Aquarium are just down the road, or hop a ferry boat and spend a few hours walking lovely and quaint Southport (where scenes from films such as Safe Haven, A Walk to Remember, I Know What you Did Last Summer and Dawson's Creek were shot). Carolina Beach is only 15 minutes from historic downtown Wilmington and the airport (ILM), and just a little over a 2-hour (straight, no turns 'til you hit the beach!) drive from Raleigh-Durham (RDU). Wilmington has many attractions such as the Azalea Festival, Battleship NC tours, and many historical homes (some haunted!)
