Cabin was GREAT !

  • 5 of 5

Cabin was great. Very clean when we arrived and WARM, which was nice since it was cold and rainy outside. Nice place to go if all you want to do is relax. We took walks down to the river everyday, but mostly, stayed close to home . The hot tub was wonderful in the cool air at night. Loved the train that came by a few times a day. Would highly recommend this place !

Wonderful, relaxing stay at Bear Necessities

  • 5 of 5

This cabin was just what we were looking for. Private and secluded, comfortable and cozy, warm and inviting. We loved relaxing in the hot tub (especially during the last chilly morning), sitting on the deck and watching the sunset, and reading books by the fire on the comfy couch. The beds were extremely comfortable, and the kitchen had everything we needed (except a corkscrew--but it resulted in us learning how to open a wine bottle with a key!).

The cabin is extremely clean and well maintained, and everything is updated and new. The management provided excellent customer service. When the power went out due to the strong wind storm that came through, maintenance came by quickly and helped us turn on the gas fireplace so we'd stay warm. Power was restored before the night's end.

I highly, highly recommend this cabin. One tip--bring some ear plugs as the hot tub cycles on at night sometimes and if you're in the blue room it might wake you. If you sleep in the pink room you won't really hear it.

Enjoy your stay!

Relaxing

  • 4 of 5

Property was nicely updated. Had everything we needed. Mattress in bedroom behind the bathroom didn't fit the frame and I hit my leg on the frame several times. Would have been nice to have access to the laundry facility. Hot tub was nice.

Owner's Response: Thanks for coming out. To be clear, we do not provide (or advertise) any laundry area or machine for guests to use. Not sure if Donna saw that advertised somewhere, but if so let us know and we'll remove it. We'll take a look at the mattress in bedroom for sizing issues.
