"Modern meets Vintage" in this completely remodeled 1916 Craftsman 2nd story apartment. A private entrance / stairwell leads you to...
The loft-style Living Room and reading / desk area offer a very large, open living space. Entire level is set at tree-top level with "green" views in every direction, plus the Space Needle, Downtown Seattle, and the Olympic mountain range each in the distance.
All are welcome to this private, bright sanctuary near the buzz of the city.
Formerly a full-time apartment, your 900+ SF of space is located on the top of three floors in our single family home. The entire level is yours to feel as private and cozy as you wish ~ unless you prefer to head out and about! Countless windows bring bright light even on the rainiest of Seattle days :-)
Bedroom has queen-sized bed, LR has queen-sized fold out couch with 4" memory foam topper.
All the right provisions and ample furniture / space for work or rest.
Coffee, tea, hot chocolate, popcorn, and wine are always provided. And fresh flowers.
Feel like staying in? No problem...
~ Snuggle up near the gas fireplace and dial up a movie (large Smart TV including cable). Classic games and puzzles, too.
~ There is a very large, fully equipped Kitchen (full size stove / dishwasher / refrigerator, coffee maker, toaster, disposal) and adjacent Dining Room with table / 6 chairs. It's window captures truly spectacular sunsets.
Or just order in :-)
Easy check-in / out ~ an access code to an on-site key box will be provided at time of confirmation. No need for in-person meetings coming or going (unless you'd like to!).
There is an extra-large capacity washer and gas dryer located in our basement Laundry Room. A simple code gives you access via the backyard Basement door (room is closed off from balance of host's living space). No need to purchase any detergent - we've always got plenty on hand.
Regardless of season (thanks to backyard artificial turf), you are very likely to witness a game in the making ~ baseball, soccer, football, basketball, etc. with our own kiddos and their neighborhood friends... ~ Feel free to join in (or not).
While we occupy the lower levels of the home, we're happy to help or let alone. We are always available via phone / text / mail.
We are located in a residential pocket of the Greenwood neighborhood on a tree-lined street, only two blocks from Greenwood / Phinney Ridge shops, restaurants, cafes, bars, and beer gardens. There's a grocery store within walking distance (1 block) for forgotten necessities and even a 24-hour diner across the street from that.
Green Lake is about a mile away; walk, run, bike, paddle...
Ballard - a short 10 minute drive
Downtown Seattle - 15 minutes. Safeco Field (Go Mariners!), Century Link (Go Seahawks! Go Sounders!), Pike Place Market, Pioneer Square, Space Needle, Ferris Wheel, etc.
One block from Greenwood Park and three from another (Sandel).
~ Want to shop? I'd head to the outdoor mall at University Village or Northgate Mall (indoor). Or downtown.
~ Want to eat? Where do we start... there are countless amazing eateries and more formal restaurants both locally and of course downtown. Ballard also offers quite a range of options.
~ Want scenery? You can head in any direction ~ just tell us what you want to see.
~ Want local attractions? We offer some of the best.
~ Want to stay more 'off the grid'? We know just the right hidden gems.
Super easy access to I-5 (1 m), SR 99 / Aurora Ave. (blocks), multiple bus lines (via 85th, Aurora, Greenwood Avenue ~ each only blocks away), and the Burke Gilman bike trail.
We are also close to the UW Light Rail Station (5 m).
And of course, there's always Uber and Lyft.
Street parking, if needed, is available 24/7 (no permit required).
When the season requires, an in-window air conditioning unit does the trick for the entire space.
