New listing for 2018!
This family cottage is available fall through spring and comes fully equipped for outdoor vacation fun! Just 11 miles (25 minutes) from Lambeau field, this is also a perfect location for Packer fans!
The first floor is an open-plan: The kitchen has a large fridge/freezer, full range/oven and microwave. The dining area's table sits 4-6 and the large kitchen peninsula has 3 stools for additional diners. The living room has a long sofa, a second large sofa (each end is a recliner) and 2 rocking/swival chairs. That's plenty of seating/napping space to watch the TV (DVD/BlueRay player) or enjoy the wood-burning fireplace. The first floor bathroom has a generously sized shower, large vanity/sink and a seperate toilet stall. The 2nd floor has 2 huge bedrooms, each with 1 queen and 2 single beds. Yes, this chalet comfortably sleeps 8! One bedroom faces the bay, the other has a deck that faces the lane (this bedroom also hosts a full size washer and dryer).
The yard has a boat launch for fishing boats, ski boats or small sailboats, with a large concrete breakwater. After you've eaten your dinner at the shore-side, 8-person pinic table, sit in the adirondack chairs around the fire pit and watch the sun set each evening over the western shore. Our 200+ year old oak tree hosts a 2-person swing from which you have an ideal view of the 40+ pelicans that roost each year on the Point Saubel nature preserve, just .8 miles from the chalet. It is an easy walk if the bay is iced over or a comfy paddle if the water is open.
While you are welcome to use the fireplace - an excellent heat source - all rooms also have portable heaters that can be used to 100% heat the chalet - the fireplace is not required unless the weather is sub-zero for multiple days.
This is a very quiet neighborhood with over 1/2 the residents retired. Please note that all outdoor activities must be concluded by 10 p.m. Beach Lane is a dead-end street, and is ideal for small fry who need a safe space to ride their bikes.
If renting close to the edges of summer, the large dock may be in the water. This is weather-dependant however and is not guaranteed. If the dock is in, you are welcome to use it - it is the longest on the block and fishing is great from the end! There are 3 family homes on the lane and all family members have access to the breakwater and the dock, so you may see other boats being put in.
The cement driveway can accomodate 3 cars/boats. Boat launchability is dependent on recent weather - if the lawn to the launch is too wet, a public boat lauch is available at South Bay Marina, just 13 minutes away.
