About Rebecca Wilson
I am a retired educator. I taught elementary school in Indiana, Ohio, and Korea for a total of 20 years. Then I taught college for 25 years. I am a world traveler, visiting 57 countries. My favorites are Korea, Easter Island, and an African Safari. My home is decorated from my travels. I love reading, cats, world travel and crafts. I love hosting and look forward to meeting you.
Rebecca Wilson purchased this House in 2001
Why Rebecca Wilson chose Mishawaka
I built this home in 2001 and was the first house on the street. The entire neighborhood was all woods when I first moved in. I get deer, raccoons, foxes, birds and assorted animals in the easement behind my home and have flood lights so I can watch them at night. It feels like living in the woods even though I'm in the middle of a city!
What makes this House unique
This home is close to everything! 5-10 minutes from Notre Dame, 4 minutes from Bethel, close to grocery stores, restaurants, movies, shopping, sporting events, and Amish country (as in "quilts!"). Nice quiet street and lots of privacy. Wooded walking/jogging path behind the house. Picnic pavilion for your use with a porch swing, too. Off street parking. Private entrance.

Spread out and relax!
Lots of room indoors here! And outdoors, there's great bird-watching from the backyard gazebo and its comfy bench-swing. (I'd never before seen a Northern Cardinal or a Scarlet Tanager...gorgeous!) The property is conveniently located in a nice, quiet neighborhood, and Mishawaka's Central Park and St. Joseph River Walkway are nearby. Watch for turtles sunning on logs and rocks along the north riverbank! I'll always stay here on future Indiana trips.
Thom was a delight to host! He is kind, considerate and helpful. I welcome him back anytime! Not too many people can stay for a month and not get on your nerves! Thom was the exception. He was a great guest!
Pretty close to puuurrrrfect.
The benefits were: spacious with lots of room, variety of ethnic decor, close to Notre Dame and sweet homemade touches with juices for breakfast. Lovely owner. Nice neighborhood.
Take note: beware if allergic to cats. They stay downstairs and are among you. You can ask for the cats to be removed but there is cat dander and fur present. The fees are steep. The temperature is regulated with the owner, so make sure to gage that before bedtime. You will share the home with the owner upstairs. She is so kind and accommodating but it is desired to be quiet. Hard to do for a bunch of girls gathering together. Overall, we had a memorable and joyful time.
Perfect for a nice weekend!
Rebecca was very nice and friendly. She had everything we needed and accommodated us well. Her place was clean and orderly. This place is close to the college and I’d perfect for a sports event there. I would stay here again.
