A very nice weekend away
We came to Annapolis with our son for a Candidate Weekend at the Naval Academy. Miranda's apartment was very comfortable, and her directions about finding the house and check-in were very easy. We appreciated all the amenities of the house, although we were so busy that we didn't even have time to watch TV! However, it was really nice to have a quiet house to come back to at the end of the day. Others have commented about the sound of the dogs, and while we did hear them a little, it was not loud at all, or at all disturbing. We have a dog (and he barks a lot!) and one thing we noticed was that while we heard the dogs walking above us, we never once heard them bark! We also appreciated Miranda's recommendations about restaurants, and tried out a couple of them while we were there. We'd definitely return!
Hideaway is a good word- nice place to escape
This is the 2nd time I have stayed here and was just as nice as the 1st time. This time, the owner was out of town but was available by phone or text if needed. The weekend was just a time for my Midshipman to be able to relax, watch movies and do homework on her earned overnight. The furnishings are comfortable and the place is very clean. Because it is a basement apartment, it is dark at night, which also led me to sleep late, but that's a small luxury and break from my normal life; but if you want to get out early, make sure you pay attention to your alarm clock. The location is close to everything but not so close that it's noisy and an all-hours area. It is residential but close enough to walk to some restaurants, if you wanted. Look forward to staying again.
My stay at the Eastport Hideaway was excellent. Miranda was a wonderful host, and her property was exactly as described. It was an incredibly convenient location for visiting my midshipman. The space was clean and spacious. Parking was easy. I loved the door lock system - no need to carry a key. Miranda put out a nice reference guide for places to eat and visit. I would highly recommend this home for anyone visiting Annapolis, especially wanting easy access to downtown!
Nice Stay for USNA Parents’ Weekend
Overall the apartment was clean, nicely furnished and convenient to downtown Annapolis & USNA with amenities such as Keurig, linens, large TV, DVDs, etc. However, the owner’s dogs (which she did give us warning about) were the built in alarm clock every morning and even with the white noise machine made it difficult to sleep. With the apartment’s location in the basement, the sounds of them running & barking upstairs was disruptive at times. So honestly, a nice location but not sure we’ll return due to the noise factor.
Beautiful place, wonderful owner.
Miranda is very thoughtful and accommodating. I had a great time and would stay again.
Very nice- well kept.
Very comfortable and private- it’s a complete apartment- plenty of space to sit and eat, relax, read and sleep!
