About Maria Pereira
My husband David and I have 3 children. We love to travel but most of all we love to spend time in our home in Puerto Rico. We have many wonderful memories in this house. We hope you will also have a memorable time!!
Maria Pereira purchased this House in 2005
Why Maria Pereira chose Guayabos
We fell in love with this home the second we saw it. The ocean views and the open floor plan was exactly what we were looking for. We hope to retire here one day. We love Puerto Rico, its culture and its people!
What makes this House unique
We love the grounds! My husband and I like to garden and completely get immersed in our gardening when we visit. We love to sit on the deck in the evenings, play some music and enjoy the stars.

Fun at "Solimar"
Our family stayed at "Solimar" while enjoying the NW area of Puerto Rico. Maria was very responsive to questions and took care of any needs promptly. The view of the ocean was magnificent, and the sounds of the waves crashing was relaxing after a day at the various beaches. We enjoyed surfing at Jobos Beach, just a short drive away, and scuba diving at Crash Boat Beach. We also did a guided stand up paddle board trip up the nearby Guajataca River. In the trees off the balcony, two iguanas appeared to have taken up residence and were basking in the sun daily. A great place to enjoy Puerto Rico!
It was a pleasure having you and your family in Solimar! We are very happy that you enjoyed your time in Puerto Rico. We hope to see you in isabela again soon. Thank you for choosing us for your vacation!
Breathtaking view & the greatest 'feel at home' feeling
I stayed in Solimar for a week along with my wife and three children aged (21, 15, and 10). We all had a great time in Puerto Rico and look forward to staying in this particular property once again. My children all shared a room (had three beds, two twins and one full), whereas my wife and I shared the master bedroom with an amazing view. It was breathtaking waking up every morning and being able to look over the ocean and the sunrise. The rooms both had A/C and it helped considering the hot weather in PR. The property also had two hammocks which my sons absolutely loved and spent a lot of time resting and enjoying the amazing breeze that is constantly visiting the property. Everything was clean & we all couldn't help but feel like we were in our own home. I totally recommend to anyone looking for a home away from home that offers comfort and privacy. The property is a 5-10 minute drive from beaches, there's a bakery (Panaderia) about 5 minutes, there's also a pizza place nearby (5 minutes), and many restaurants with ocean front right across from the beaches. Great home, great destination! Thank you Maria for allowing us to stay in your home. We look forward to staying in the near future once again.
Thank you for such a "heart felt" review. It was our pleasure having you and your family in Solimar. We are looking forward to having you again soon!
Beautiful, spacious, quiet, million dollar view.
The place is quiet and secluded but still safe and close to everything you need. Isabela is a beautiful place and the town is smaller and more laid back than other places on the island which makes it nice if you are looking to get away and relax. There are still plenty of places to have a good time and plenty of places to eat close by. The home is spacious and comfortable. Wonderful country side setting with amazing ocean views. Maria was very responsive and accomodating. We truly enjoyed our stay.
Thank you for the review. It was a pleasure having you and your family in Solimar. Thank you for being very considerate!
We hope you will come again soon!
Great property with a fantastic view!
My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Isabela! The house was wonderful and very well taken care of. The view from the house was fantastic! The people were very polite and helpful. And we found great restaurants to eat at throughout the week. We really enjoyed our time!
Thank you for choosing Solimar for your vacation! It was a pleasure having you and your family! Please come back to Solimar soon!
Private and quiet neighborhood. GPS made it easy to find. House has stove, refrigerator and Microwave if you want to cook. Beach supplies (Towels, chairs) were also available. Both rooms had AC. Living room has large sliding doors to allow the trade winds to come in. Easy access for day trips. Owners family meet us there to provide us the key and the security gate control.
Thank you for your review. We're happy the house was a good fit for your family.
We hope you will come again soon!
This home was excellent, and we would recommend it to all our friends
We really appreciated the overall condition of the home including all the properly functioning appliances, TV, bathrooms, basically everything. Completely equipped and ready to go. The location right on the beach was fantastic. I wish we could have spent more time there just to hang out in the house and look out into the ocean.
Thank you very much for such a great accomodation.
Thank you for your review. We take a lot of pride in making sure our home is a home away from home to our customers. It was our pleasure having you! We hope we will see you again soon.
Puerto Rico’s west coast region, also known as Porta del Sol, has long been a mecca for surfers from all over the world. Isabela lays claim to some of the finest spots on the island. This municipality also features the Guajataca State Forest, which it shares with Quebradillas. Hikers will revel in the intricate trail system, Bird-watchers will delight at the 45 species of birds here, including the Guaraguaos (taíno name for the red-tailed hawk). The reserve also features picnic areas and an observation tower.
