In the heart of the Cascade Mountain Range, just off beautiful Hwy 2, sits the Green Door Cabin. Whether warming up by the wood burning stove after a day of skiing at Stevens Pass, or roasting s'mores at the camp fire following a summer river float--you'll find the best version of yourself here, beneath the old growth pines. Soak for a bit in the large indoor hot tub, or get the pores opened in the cedar sauna (before or after the polar bear plunge in the river).
*NEW UPDATES* - Hardwood flooring! Electric oven indoors Charcoal grill outside, but bring your own charcoal Massive fire pit outside that can handle pretty much anything. This space comes with two buildings: Living/eating and Hot tub/sauna. Plenty of parking in the driveway, no street parking.
I will be available by phone or email, as well as the caretaker who keeps an eye on the place.
There are a few river trails in the neighborhood. Walk down the flat roads to the mellow trails and take a stroll. Keep an eye out for two river trail signs. The first one is across from the house with the perfectly manicured lawn and is hard to see. There are picnic tables and beach access. 3-5 minute walk down the street. You can hear some highway noise while outside and in the neighborhood. The trains come through several times a day on the other side of the highway. None of these noises should interfere with your sleep schedule on the cozy log frame bunks.
Please refer to the guest binder for local watering holes and stores. Mostly everything requires a car that is outside the neighborhood. You can bike down the highway if you are really daring, it's only 2-3 miles to town. You can always float down the river to the Whistling Post or Sky Deli, mind the downed trees and boulders in the Skykomish River.
You can fit 5-6 cars tight in the driveway.
No parking on roads, unless within posted signs.
Please park in driveway, not front yard, do not squeeze your vehicle up to the front of the house
Green Door will pass any parking fee onto the perpetrating party with 15% markup for processing.
Garbage (including compost) goes in the blue garbage can outside
Washer and dryer are in the main bathroom, knob stuck on warm/hot cycle. The 2nd bathroom is in the hot tub house.
