Great lovely cottage!!
This cottage has everything you need. It's only couple of blocks from beach, place was very clean everything was new and all the kitchenware were there, and the check in check out process was super easy! This was our first time visit at Colonial Beach and we'll definitely back and definitely stay this cottage again. We had Such a relaxing weekend and this cottage definitely helped. Thanks for everything!!!
We are so glad you enjoyed your stay and you were wonderful guests. Hopefully next visit you will see clearer skies!
It's so nice, I don't want anyone to know about it
We rent vacation homes 3 or 4 times a year and Tequila Sunrise is one of the best we've stayed at. The home is FANTASTIC! We are a family of four--two little ones, 4 and 1. The pictures do not do the home justice. The front porch is incredible. We sat out there for hours after putting the kids down enjoying wine, a gentle breeze, and other vacationers and residents pass by in their golf carts. The home is beautifully decorated in a beach theme and very well-appointed... down to all the little details. We cooked two dinners in the home and had everything we needed. Karen is a fabulous host and very responsive--it was a treat to get to meet her in-person too.
Colonial Beach is a special place. It was our second time visiting and loved every minute of it. Morning walks along Irving and Monroe Bay Avenues were a highlight. The kids enjoyed playing on the beach. For those wondering what a beach on a river is like... well, it's like a beach on a river. This part of the Potomac is tidal and nothing like the Potomac much further up North. Put some water shoes on the kiddos and you're all set! The downtown boardwalk was fun--we enjoyed food from the taco and hot dog pop-ups. Ice cream at Nancy's is a total throwback and was enjoyed by all. Not many places you can get ice cream for the kids for less than $5! And there's a brewery downtown... and the beer is excellent. Dockside Bar was as fun this time as it was our first. Our next trip to CB will include a dinner visit to Denson's, for sure. And the playground at the tip of the point is a great for the little ones... even has restrooms. I could go on. If you're considering a trip to CB, definitely consider Tequila Sunrise--we can't wait to go back!
