Like staying at your best friend's house
Everything was exactly as presented. Adorable house that fit the 6 of us just right. Close to Schlitterbahn, close to river. All around convenient. What you may not know is that unlike many rentals, this one comes compete with necessities like tons of towels, paper towels, trash bags, all those things you dont want to pack or buy for a weekend away. Its like your best friend said, 'stay in my house. Use my good shampoo. Heres a fluffy towel. Whats mine is yours.' Exceptional customer service!
Great place to see all the sights
My family stayed here for a week. We had a 4 year old and a 1 year old. We had to move some nicknacks up to higher ground but other than that no other kid proofing was required. We enjoyed the deer in the yard most mornings and found it easy access to all the local activities we had planned. We were able to go out for a while in the morning and then comeback for lunch and naps before heading back out for the afternoon. Kitchen was well stocked. Just be sure to look in every drawer before heading to the store for things like plastic baggies and or paper products. We found those after our trip so ended up adding to the collection.
This was my first experience booking a vacation rental and I couldn’t be more pleased. Property Manager Sabrina Roberts answered all of my questions promptly and she walked me through every step. The rental property was everything it claimed to be and more. The house was stocked with everything we could possibly need. It was perfect for our family gathering including grandkids. It was a great experience and I highly recommend it.
We stayed here during my daughters wedding and it worked out great! Sabrina was very helpfull and always available. I highly recommend it.
We are so glad you all picked Austin Street Haus to stay while attending the wedding of your daughter.
Thank you so much for being such wonderful guests.
This is a great place to stay. Plenty of space to stretch out and great amenities. Close to places we had to visit such as San Marcos and Gruene. Very well maintain and very clean. Beds are extremely comfortable and loved seeing the deer in the evening and morning. I plan to stay here again.
My sisters and I wanted to get away for a weekend and the house was perfect for what we wanted. Sabrina was so accommodating and easy to contact. Would definitely stay again.
There are so many things to see and do in New Braunfels and the surrounding area. From your front door, you are at the entrance of Schlitterbahn waterpark or at the entrance of the Tube Chute of the Comal River after a short 4 block walk. The walk downtown is about .5 miles. While downtown be sure to visit Henne Hardware, the oldest hardware store in Texas and Naegelin's Bakery, the oldest bakery in Texas. There are also a number of unique shops, the historical Sophienburg and children's museums, taverns, and restaurants downtown. Take the children to Landa Park to ride the miniature train through the park, for a picnic, to hike through Panther Canyon, to visit the Founder's Oak that dates back to the 1700s, to swim in the springfed swimming pool, and to hear a summer evening concert at the dance slab. Visit Gruene Hall, the oldest dancehall in Texas, to listen to live music and see where legends like George Strait, Lyle Lovett, and Willie Nelson got started. While in Gruene, visit the General Store and other unique shops, music venues, and restaurants. Take the scenic drive up River Road to Canyon Lake for horseback riding, hiking, and water sports. Plan to spend a day at the San Marcos outlet stores. Natural Bridge Caverns is a short drive away for a day of spelunking. San Antonio is a short drive away to visit the Alamo, River Walk, and Seaworld. Austin is another short drive away to visit the Capitol building, 6th Street and the surrounding area to learn why it is known as the 'Live Music Capitol of the World.' New Braunfels sponsors 'Wurstfest' each year along with many other festivals. You are in the ideal location to enjoy local activities as well as those in the nearby hill country area.
