This charming first floor condominium is located in the Las Palmas Condos on the Western side of Gulf Shores just across West Beach Boulevard from the beach. The western end of Gulf Shores is much less congested with only two lanes of traffic instead of four/five lanes as the case on the eastern end toward Orange Beach. Also makes for great bike riding and walking along the bike lane. Beach access is only steps away.

Professionally decorated by the owner, with LOTS of NEW furnishings, you would think you were in a Cottage/Southern Living Magazine article--since the owner has had many publications in the magazine.

Sleeps four comfortably and allows for two more on the pull-out sofa/bed. Two full baths and a fully furnished kitchen with all modern appliances for a romantic dinner for two out on the balcony with a water view or a table that seats six for a family dinner. Tables are also available around the pool or in the barbecue area when the weather is just too beautiful to eat indoors.

The triangle shaped structure allows all condominiums a view of the pools which are located in the middle of the three, two-story buildings with two-car parking underneath each unit. Two pools ensure a perfect spot for sunbathing either close to or far away from children!! Great for families with small children that can't stay on the beach all day long.

For your convenience, laundry rooms with coin operated machines are located on both floors. Boat/trailer parking is permitted at the east end of the property.

Sorry, the complex has a NO PETS policy. Non Smoking Unit.

Why Caterina Meadows chose Alabama

As young parents, we vacationed with our friends and their children in their family condo and loved it. We always jumped at the chance to go to the beach with anybody who's parents had a place. But Las Palmas was always our favorite. So when our parents were considering a second home, of course we talked them into buying a condo there too. Now that we are grandparents ourselves, we just couldn't cram any more people into that little 2 bedroom condo, so we bit the bullet and bought our own. Since 1983 - we have called Las Palmas 'HOME'

What makes this condo unique

The beachfront condos sound good, but you just can't seem to get away from the sand. And sand makes a HORRIBLE bed buddy. So we always loved the fact that we were just steps across the two lane road. Just enough steps to walk that sand off. We always loved the pool area too.

We do appreciate you giving us such a generous deal. (Rent 3 Get 1 Night Free) We were planning on going down regardless of the oil situation (unless they closed the beach from just sitting on the beach) as we don't go to play in the water anyway. We can always jump in the pool! We've been coming to Gulf Shores for almost 25 years. So it is our second home. The condo is great and my wife and mother-in-law really like the way you have it decorated! Again, thanks for your hospitality in allowing us to rent your condo.

Great Family Vacation Spot at the Beach

We had a great stay at this unit/property late July-early August 2016, and I would definitely stay there again with our family of four. The description of the unit, the property, and the area listed on VRBO very accurately reflects the reality. The price we paid I considered to be a good value for a two bed/two full bath unit. This unit has a nice living area with plenty of seating options, cable tv, wifi, even toys and games to keep the family entertained if it rains. It worked out great for our family of four, but with the size of the unit and the numerous chairs in the main living area, I think it would be rather tight for six to stay there. The beds in both bedrooms were comfortable, we didn't try the fold out couch. The pools were a bit cloudy when we checked in late on Sunday afternoon, but that's somewhat expected after a busy summer weekend. By Monday morning they cleared up and looked great for the remainder of the stay, and the kids loved it.

The area for this property is great as well. The beach is directly across Beach Blvd, literally a one minute walk and you're on the sand. Pier 33 Grocery is right next door to the building for any essentials, long walk or very short drive to the Hangout and beach shops, and there's parasailing and banana boat rides within walking distance. I highly recommend grabbing a carry out meal from S&S Seafood while you're there, which is very close as well. If you aren't familiar with the Gulf Shores area, this unit is right on Beach Blvd, which is a busy road. It is less busy in this area west of 59, but still very busy. You are going to hear cars (and definitely motorcycles) going by all hours of the day and night. Something to think about for light sleepers in the family, but NOT at all unique to this property. It's something you'll have to deal with anywhere along the beach in Gulf Shores, and that's just the trade off for being so close to the awesome beaches.

We never had to contact the owner with any issues while we there, which is just how I prefer it! No Issues. However, the owner was very responsive throughout the booking process and promptly processed the security deposit return. I am sure that if an issue had arisen, she would have promptly and professionally attended to it. Thanks for a great stay!

Clean and comfy

Love the location of the condo. We always try to stay in the same building. We slept in the guest bedroom , the bed and pillows are very clean and comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked. I did but I didn't have to bring everything I needed to cook dip in the oven. Everything I need was there from can openers to casserole dishes. The balcony was great, comfortable chairs for sitting and watching. Pools are clean also all the grounds. Everything is clean. Owner was great to work with as well. Will stay here again.

Great Location

My older children stayed at this condo. They said it was neat and clean, cozy and all new appliances. Near attractions, restaurants and activities. They mentioned they would like to move down there and buy it, lol

It was in a great location. You have to cross the road to get to the beach but that's not a big deal. I recommend when you cross the road to go on down the beach because that part of the beach is really crowded from that hotel. There is a pool. Owners was really easy to work with and nice. The only reason me and their dad didn't get a place there is because we had to get a place that was pet friendly so we stayed at Fort Morgan.

Cozy and Perfect

This condo was perfect! It was so cozy and felt like home. The bed was the most comfortable I have ever slept on in a rental unit. Well stocked with spices, trash bags, toilet paper. Great condo location, walking distance to Pier 33 grocery store. The pool is very close and the walk to the beach is not far at all. We loved our stay here and will be more than happy to visit again!

CANCELLATION POLICY:

CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS: The Advance Rent Deposit will not be refunded unless the Premises are re-rented no less than 30 days prior to the arrival date of the Rental Period for the same Base Rental Charge and Rental Period reserved by the Tenant. If re-rented for the same Base Rental Charge and the same Rental Period but less than 30 days prior to the Rental Period, there will be a $75.00 cancellation fee withheld from the Advance Rent Deposit. Refunds of the Advance Rent Deposit and/or the Total Rental Fee will not be given for late arrivals, early departures or inclement weather conditions and only after full payment has been received from the re-renter tenants. In the event of a hurricane, refunds will be made only in the event of a mandatory evacuation by governmental authorities. Voluntary evacuations will not receive a refund. Refunds will be granted from the day of the issuance of the mandatory evacuation. We highly recommend traveler’s insurance, such as www.VacationRentalInsurance.com, or www.travelguard.com to cover any unfortunate events or weather, including lack of beach access, dune erosion or the closing of beaches.

Payment of amount due and the acceptance of terms confirms the Tenant acknowledges that he/she has read and agrees to abide by this Agreement, which includes “Important Information about Your Stay” on page 2 and confirms authorization for Owner/VRBO/Homeaway to debit the credit card in the amount of the Advance Rent Deposit or Full Rental Amount if less than 30 days prior to arrival date
