About Chris Garcia

We are Mike and Chris Garcia, and we live in Central Mass. Like many, through vacationing in the area, we grew to love The Mount Washington area and all that it has to offer in every season. We particularly have always loved Jackson: It is perfectly located for just about anything you are looking to do and it has remained quaint and charming: We have enjoyed renting our home, which we call 'Jackson' for 9 years. it has been and will continue to be our goal to offer a thoroughly relaxing and stress free vacation to all our guests. We strive to make each experience a positive one and through years of experience, we feel that we can anticipate the needs of all vacationers. So, whether you are a couple looking for a winter weekend getaway, a group of woman looking for a couple of nights of fun or a family looking to book your summer vacation, we are confident that you would be thoroughly pleased with this accommodation. We hope you give us a look.

Chris Garcia purchased this house in 2004

Why Chris Garcia chose Jackson

The property is one of those properties that goes on the market and does not stay. it was built in 1891 as a Summer home: It is featured in the book: Summer Cottages of New England. You just don't come across properties like this very often and we felt that we didn't want the opportunity to slip by... so, we took a chance and because of so many great people who have enjoyed staying here for the past 9 years, we are able to maintain it so that it continues to be a place to be enjoyed. Mike and I maintain and clean the property ourselves so that we know that you are arriving to a clean, cozy place that is ready for you to enjoy from the first minute. We supply toiletries, towels and make up the beds with luxury linens. We are available by phone at all times: very accessible for any unique needs that may come up.

What makes this house unique

The unique benefits are the ideal location to Jackson Falls, 3 major golf courses, Storyland ,5 ski mountains and we are in the midst of the well known and meticulously groomed Jackson cross country ski trails. We are 15 minutes to North Conway which has many great Valley Original restaurants and all the shopping you could ask for. If staying in the village of Jackson is your preference, there are plenty of great places to eat in Jackson as well. Unique to the home itself is beauty in it's history and authenticity of the architecture.

The pictures do not do this house justice. My friends and I stayed here for a weekend at the end of October, and it was absolutely beautiful! The house is wonderfully inviting and the owners make you feel right at home, with every detail covered. The house was very clean, extremely comfortable, fully modernized, and the scenery of the fall foliage was magnificent. The town of Jackson is truly charming, and theres a lot more to do if youre willing to drvie a bit ( the house is equipped with a lot of pamphlets of what to do in the area). The only problem we had was our GPS. Dont listen to it- it'll take you to the wrong house- follow the directions that the owners provide. Overall, this house is amazing and the owners are so nice. I would definitly stay here again- it's like staying with family.

Comfortable, relaxing home + great location.

  • 5 of 5

Our family - two adults, three teens, and our black lab mix - truly enjoyed our stay at the Historic 1891 Lodge. The home is wicked cool - hardwood floors, intricate woodwork, two fireplaces, and a hot tub. The furniture and beds are comfortable ---- it is very easy to relax in this home. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to cook our meals. Its location can't be beat - we were only a few minutes away from cross-country skiing/hiking, and several downhill mountains are within thirty minutes. If you are cross country skiing, we recommend the trail along the Ellis River in Jackson. We dined out a few time and had good luck with The Sunrise Shack for breakfast, the J-Town Deli for sandwiches, and the Red Fox Grille for dinner. We would recommend this home to our family and friends, and will stay here again when we visit Jackson.
