Aloha and welcome. A sincere Mahalo to our growing list of guests in 2018 as we enter another year of sharing our home with new friends and relatives. We invite you to awaken each morning to the aroma of freshly brewed KONA coffee and watch the sunrise above the silloette of Diamond Head , enjoy the fresh ocean breeze from the lanai, and at the end of your day view a beautiful ocean sunset from our home on the quiet side of Waikiki. You will be less than two blocks from the sands of Kapiolani / Waikiki Beach and so close to the activity and high end shopping Honolulu offers on the strip of Waikiki..

For your comfort our home offers quality linens, a full kitchen in a home that is warm and tastefully decorated with a bit of Aloha as we enjoy for ourselves - for our discerning guests our unit is bright and CLEAN.

Eating Out every meal can get costly, or sometimes you may just want to sleep in - but the kids are hungry. The convenience of our 'at Home' ammenities, allows you to keep snacks on hand, bring in TAKE OUT for later, or prepare simple meals to help cut expenses.

As our guests you may share the ammenities of this RESORTQUEST Waikiki Sunset Hotel Complex - swimming pool, and sauna with seperate locker / shower facilities, 2 Lighted Tennis courts, and BBQ's with clean picnic areas. Bring your work with you - SECURE Highspeed Broadband with Private access available in our home. For those tablet or I pad users, we now have WiFi internet access secure to our home only. Additionally, Internet access Hotspots (non-secure provided by ResortQuest) can be found at different locations on the property. Pleasant Hawaiian Tours is homebased in the lobby with tour buses departing from the corner. A small convenience store is located on the 5th floor. A new Super Safeway is a short walk/drive down the street. The complex offers 5 floors of guest parking with 24 hr security and 'pass key' access from the garage to the elevators. Parking is included with our unit. A GREAT SAVINGS over the package deals who will charge up to $35 per day for Parking. No surprise RESORT FEES are added to your agreement upon your arrival.

We are located 20 minutes from Honolulu Airport, with easy access to and from the H-1 highway. Foodland, Safeway,and CVS/Longs Drugs are a short walk/drive away. The comforts of home - Starbucks, Peet's even McDonald's are convenient to this location, as are many of our favorite 'Local' stops. With the Honolulu Marriott across the street, you can enjoy evenings of fine dining, or after hours dancing and drinks.

24Hour Fitness members: Honolulu location is just around the corner. Jog or walk with the locals (across the street) around the Honolulu Zoo & Kapiolani park.

About Uncle Ernie

Aloha future guests, my wife Diane and I have both worked as pharmacists for the local chain Longs Durg Stores nearing 40 years. We currently reside on the mainland, California. We purchased our condo for the ease and convenience when traveling with our family. With this in mind, we have furnish our home with FAMILY in mind and hope our guests recognize our thoughts for your travel needs. We are nearing Retirement age, and hope to relocate to an island residence.

Our home is Located on a ResortQuest property -The Waikiki Sunset - our guests are welcome to enjoy all resort amenities with NO RESORT FEES. This property is an owner occupied residence furnished and equipped for "AT HOME" convenience. PRIVACY is assured throughout your stay. Waikiki Sunset personnel do not have access to Private Residences. CONVENIENCE - this location is within walking distance to ALL that Waikiki offers, yet if you choose to explore the island, it is the most convenient area if Waikiki to access the highway. PARKING is provided with your rental.

Great Location

Great location, close to beach, restaurants and shops. Beautiful view of Diamond Head from the balcony. Room has everything you need. The free parking was a huge plus. Everything was wonderful, we loved our stay and can’t wait to come back!

We love visiting Oahu & this condo is set up very well for visiting Waikiki, Honolulu or beyond on Oahu as a couple or with the kids. Uncle Ernie has gone the extra mile to have everything you might need; beach towels, boogie boards, sewing kit, iron & supplies to iron, complete kitchen as well as plenty of TP & dish soap. We've just returned and we are already planning another visit. 🌴☀️❤️

Great location, clean unit

This condo worked well for me and my three (grown) kids. It is small but very clean and equipped with everything you need. The included parking and central A/C were important to us and most appreciated. The carpet in the hall is pretty tired, but that's not this property owner's fault by any means. Overall a great place to stay that is convenient to the beach and Honolulu sites.

This condo is fantastic, the view is beautiful and it made for an amazing vacation!

Mahalo Uncle Ernie! The condo is close to Waikiki and can walk a few blocks to the beach. The condo itself was clean and easily accessible and of course a great view of Diamondhead. We loved our stay and can't want to come back next time!

Our manager will request your travel itinerary and will arrange a Meeting time at our home to grant you access keys and passes. The staff at the Waikiki Sunset DO NOT have keys for access to the Privately Owned units.

Owner's Cancellation Policy

  • 50% refund if canceled at least 30 days before arrival date.
  • 100% refund if canceled at least 60 days before arrival date.
  • Service Fee fully refunded on cancellations that qualify for 100% refund.
