About Rose Senehi
I live alone with my dog and cat, and other than gardening, spend most of my time either writing my novels, researching them, or speaking about them to book clubs, organizations, and at book signings. I have two children, a daughter who, with her husband, teaches at the University of Manitoba, and a son who is a manufacturers’ rep and lives with his family on our farm in Cazenovia, New York. Before my writing career, I was heavily involved in the shopping center industry, opening 13 malls in the Northeast before managing a million mall. I was lured to the South to manage a major entertainment destination in Myrtle Beach before becoming a realtor specializing in oceanfront properties in Pawleys Island. I invite you to peruse my website, and hope it will tell you more about me and my books:
Rose Senehi purchased this Studio in 2006
Why Rose Senehi chose Chimney Rock
I came to Chimney Rock for the first time to research my fourth novel, "In the Shadows of Chimney Rock," bought an ice cream cone, and strolled thru the town. I came across a bridge between two stores and went across the river and saw a ‘for sale’ sign on a house up against the mountain. I went up on the porch and the view blew me away! An hour later, I was signing a contract to buy it. Originally meant to be a vacation home, every time I left, I cried most of the way home. I’ve totally upgraded the house since then, and it has been my permanent home since 2009 and where I wrote five more novels—most of them taking place in Chimney Rock and the Hickory Nut Gorge.
What makes this Studio unique
My house, with its ground-floor studio apartment, is in two worlds—steps from the downtown of an iconic mountain village with all its exciting restaurants, cafes and unique shops, yet nestled on Chimney Rock Mountain, a river’s width away. As you sit on your patio and look out at Round Top Mountain across from the chimney, you’ll feel like you’re in the majestic womb of the mountains and apart from the bustle of Main Street.

Studio apt. rental
Everything was Brand new and clean. Just Steps Walking distance to town. Owner is very nice. We had a great mini alone time vacation. The studio apartment which is under owners house was just enough space for the 2 of us. Well equipped and comfortable. Even though owner lives in cabin above studio we had total privacy. Separate entrance and beautiful garden grounds. We can see mountains and here babbling brook from front porch. Tranquil retreat. Thank you Rose.
