Very quiet and relaxing
Our family rented this home for July 4th week. This property is the most beautiful setting. The house is just as pictured/clean/neat. We took our boat and the boat launch is directly across the canal. You will need to have the neighbor unlock the gate. It would be nice to have a key at the house. The town of Bath has a Dollar store for most things that you would need. The drive into Little Washington for Walmart is 42 miles round trip. The owner is extremely accommodating for any questions. There are lots of sting rays and a tremendous amount of crab if you are going for fishing. Several Porpoise come up nightly which is really neat. It would be great to have some rockers on the porch. I would recommend this property if you want a vacation for relaxation, peace and quiet time.
This property is on an exquisite plot of land right at the end of a peninsula facing out into the Roanoke River. We were greeted by river otters the first day and a family of dolphins at sunset. Two boat docks on the property and a nearby ramp make water excursions easy. Nice place inside, a large master bedroom adjoining bathroom with jacuzzi tub, and a small bedroom with two beds upstairs. Kitchen recently redone. The view can't be beat, facing into the sunrise. Cute neighborhood with professional crab fishermen and friendly neighbors. A plethora of rabbits around. A very relaxing and picturesque place.
