Once again, many thanks to you for helping us so 'last minute'. The condo was great and we had a wonderful time! We look forward to our return to the island.....I personally would LOVE to have a second home there!
This property was just right for our family. The location at Turtle Bay was a nice place to be at for us. We enjoyed being near the North Shore and Laie area too. For future guests deciding on a place to stay the distance to Honolulu can be far, but if you're not bothered by the hour drive then this works, as it did for us. Overall the home was in need of a good cleaning though. The dust buildup on fans and A/C needed to be addressed. It was not pleasant to find dead cockroaches in the kitchen cabinets. We even found a live 2" one in the home and a little one in a drawer, but I know there are roaches in HI so it didn't come at a huge surprise, just wish I didn't have to witness These things led to the 3 star, average rating. As for some of the positive things in the home there are lots of extra dishes, beach towels, bath towels available. Another reviewer mentioned boogie boards, however there were none nor a cooler, there were 2 beach chairs though. We left behind some freezer ice packs, but I don't know if the cleaning person will keep them or leave them. There are a lot of spices left behind from other guests. The grocery store is at a bit of a distance from the home. If you're just getting in town from HNL I recommend going to a grocery store along the populous areas up to Mililani. Beyond that to the home you'll find some places, though they are smaller and pricier. Laie is a decent sized town and their grocery store is faster to get to than the Foodland on North Shore. The beds in the home were comfortable and the space was nice to have so that we didn't feel cramped, like we might in a hotel. Having a second bathroom and laundry facilities in the home was also a plus. Hopefully the owner might address the things I've mentioned along with a couple of others that we passed along to her, like the sliding door to the lanai had some problems. Mahalo!
This property delivered on everything that it promised...and then some! Clean, cool, comfortable. Handy to have washer/dryer in unit. Plenty of dishes/pots/pans. An excellent working dishwasher, plenty of room to eat, inside and out. Having beach towels separate from bath towels so nice and having boogie boards and beach chairs (with shoulder straps for ease of carrying) and even a soft-sided cooler with a shoulder strap ensured that our time on the beach was hassle-free and so fun. The property manager was very nice and helpful and responded in a timely manner to my requests for additional information. We would absolutely stay here again!
This condo was perfect for our family of 7! We were comfortable and it is very well equipped with everything we needed, kitchen utensils, towels, and beach toys!
It was very comfortable and clean. The location was great! Very close to several nice beaches! We would love to come back and visit again!
I booked my trip to the North Shore and split the cost of the condo with 3 of my surf buddies. It was very comfortable and affordable. I had a bad experience staying in cheap lodgings on the North Shore last year, so this was a welcome change. It is only a 5 minute drive to sunset beach, and close to many other famous breaks like Pipeline and Wiamea Bay. We stopped at Costco off the H-2 before we hit the North Shore and stocked up on food, so this turned out to be the most affordable trip to Hawaii I have ever taken. Not to mention the fact it was the nicest place I have stayed. I will definitely be booking this place when I come back next year.
My husband and I had a great time staying in this unit. It is in a very beautiful location, right on a golf course, close to the ocean. From the lanai we enjoyed watching the sunrise the couple of times that we got up early. The condo is decorated quite nicely as the pictures show and is also very clean and comfortable with a nice breeze blowing through making it unnecessary to turn on the air conditioning. It was stocked really well, even had a cooler so we could take cold drinks with us to the beach. This condo had parking right in front with its own designated space.
We enjoyed the beach to the right of Turtle Bay Resort, it was real calm and safe so we could enjoy swimming. We walked out in the evenings to the "Hang Ten" bar at the resort to enjoy the music and the beautiful sunsets. It was only a 10 minute walk, then on our way back stopped at "Lei Lei's" to eat. The food was delicious and had real pleasant outdoor dining. A short drive north to the "Kahuku Grill", great food and reasonable. Also "Ted's Bakery" to the south, also a short drive, it seemed to be the popular hangout.
Cathy was great to work with and also very accommodating.
We would definitely like to come back here and would recommend this unit to friends and relatives.
I stayed in the condo in April, and was very impressed with the overall cleanliness and comfort during my stay. It was fully stocked with everything I could have needed. I had planned on buying boogie boards for myself and my children to use, and was pleasantly surprised to see that they had been provided for us, in addition to beach chairs and towels. It had three flat screen TVs, so the kids could plug in their Nintendo Wii upstairs, and i could keep up with my baseball spring training. It was close to a grocery store and some good local eateries. The unit has a great breeze that blows through, so even though it was hot outside, it was very comfortable inside. I have been coming to the North Shore for years, and for the price, this is the nicest place I have stayed thus far.
Close to Polynesian Cultural Center, within 10 minute walk to Turtle Bay Resort/Hotel, restaurants and beaches for swimming, snorkleing, surfing, bodyboarding. Minutes away from world famous surf beaches and historic Haleiwa Town. With all the conveniences of home, come and enjoy!
