Our ground floor beach house condo (Hale Ono Loa #109) is uniquely situated on the water's edge. Fully renovated in late 2014, it offers an amazing view and an amazing value, with just about everything in our unit being new or refurbished. The pictures don't lie!

Unobstructed views of the islands of Moloka'i and Lana'i are available from living room, lanai, or surrounding grass area. Yet privacy is paramount with our exclusive ground floor location. And nothing beats a Maui sunset from our western exposure. If you are a stargazer, we offer some of the darkest nights in the world. Bedroom and kitchen windows, front screen door, and lanai sliding glass doors (all screened) take advantage of the cooling trade winds and moderate tropical temperatures, providing maximum cross ventilation and enhancing the interior ambience of our oceanfront setting.

From mid-December through April your view includes the majestic humpback whales who winter in our warm waters. For much of the year you can observe the 400 pound honu (green sea turtles) feasting on the seaweed provided on the reef that parallels the shoreline. This reef (100 feet directly in front of our unit) also makes for great snorkeling. A small sand beach is available in front of our condo complex during low tides, and a larger pristine beach is always available in front of the condo complex next door. The public has access rights to Hawai'i beaches and shorelines.

North of the condo is the beautiful Napali Bay Beach (10 minutes by car) just before the Kapalua Resort and its Flemming Beach. South (about 7 minutes) is the Ka'anapali Resort with its world class beaches and snorkel spot at Black Rock. Five minutes further puts you into Lahaina Town.

Numerous shops, markets and restaurants are located nearby, including a local farmer's market. West Maui restaurants range from world class to local fast foods.

Our large outdoor closet includes for your use: beach chairs, umbrellas, mats, snorkeling gear, a cooler, and some items for small children. Parking is free. Smoking is limited to one area of the condominium complex.

Our newly renovated condo will not disappoint, neither will our Island of Maui. The translation of Hale Ono Loa is 'house of good living,' and we're upholding that reputation.

We strive to ensure that your stay will be without complication and you will quickly understand how important it is to us to make your vacation memorable for all the right reasons. With one owner living only two miles from the condo, we are literally at your service.

About Bruce, Edith & Henk

EDITH & HENK: We could not believe our luck when we found this ground floor, corner condo in 2002. We made an offer straight away and have enjoyed our little get away ever since. We live in Morgan Hill, CA. In 2014, recognizing that the unit needed a comprehensive upgrade, we sold a 50% interest to BRUCE, longtime resident of West Maui. Bruce (with a little help from Henk) completed the renovation in November 2014, and our old condo is now new and inviting.

Some of the benefits of our little slice of paradise are: Listening to the sound of the ocean, very private lanai, access to some of the best snorkeling right in front of the condo, viewing sea turtles every morning while we enjoy our coffee and ability to observe the humpback whales while they winter in the warm waters just off our coastline.

This particular condo, Unit 109, was fantastic. It is one of only 5 units in the entire complex that is ground floor and oceanfront. The yard for the other 4 units is all connected, but this particular one benefits from having a "front yard" that is practically to itself, so we didn't need to worry about our 18 month old bothering anyone when he ran around outside. It was perfect. We were able to sit outside and eat our meals or have drinks and watch for humpback whales, sea turtles, sunsets and rainbows. We had the same view from a huge picture window inside the living room area of our condo, and the inside of the condo was even nicer than it looks in the pictures! Plus, the location was great, a quick walk to the playground, Bad Ass Coffee and the Farmer's Market.

Worth every penny!!!

I stayed with my family for 4 nights. It was awesome experience. The condo is neat and clean. It has all instructions which is really helpful. The best part is the view from the condo. We loved it. The owner is responsive anytime you call him. I would highly recommend staying there.

Amazing condo in Maui, outstanding location, helpful and nice owner

We stayed 19 amazing nights in this beautiful condo. The lanai is amazing, the best views in Maui are right here. We felt no need to eat out because dining on the lanai was a far better location than any restaurant.

We got to see the turtles swimming outside daily and they went up on the sand to rest almost every day. We also saw whales jumping daily right from the lanai.

Sleeping every night to the sound of waves was enjoyable and we miss the noise being back home!

The condo is well stocked with appliances and it is clean and in good condition. The decor is beautiful and the pass through window in the kitchen to the lanai is so helpful and fun for the kids, we played restaurant daily. The condo facilities are excellent with a pool, BBQ and laundry.

Bruce is amazing, very honest and is there to help if you have any issues. He also provides a lot of helpful information when you arrive.

Thank you Bruce, let us know if you are ever selling this place, I could see us visiting every year

Great condo in Maui!

This was our 4th consecutive year staying at this great condo. The first since the recently completed interior renovation. Everything we enjoyed about it before is still there, the location, the view, and the ocean sounds. Whats new is everything else, the entire interior has been completed renovated and looks great! Both bathrooms have all new tile, the kitchen has new countertops and new appliances. The entire condo has new tile flooring that looks great. Everything in the condo is now first class. The new owner is very friendly and helpful. We will be staying again. Love this place.

CAN’T GET CLOSER TO THE OCEAN!

My 80 year-old mom had never been to Hawaii and I wanted to give her a once-in-a-lifetime experience. She gets around fine but walking in sand is difficult and she doesn’t handle stairs so well so I was looking for a 1st floor unit but I never expected to find one as impressive as this. You are so close to the water that you will occasionally feel the ocean spray and you can stand on the lanai and count sea turtles! (I’m not kidding!)

The pictures of the place caught my eye but I must say they don’t even do it justice. It was remodeled beautifully and they have thought of just about anything you’d ever need on a beach vacation. Bruce is a fantastic communicator and very concerned that each guest has an incredible experience.

Thanks for making our trip so fantastic, it was better than anything we could have imagined. My mother still brings it up nearly every time I speak with her.

Owner's Response: There was a lot of communication with Doug as I learned about a month prior to their arrival that a painting project would require scaffolding around our lanai area and access to the beams on our lanai. Fortunately, the project was completed the day prior to arrival and all our contingency plans and discussions ended as well. Got to meet these wonderful (and understanding) guests as they were preparing to depart. They were taking photos of the mother holding onto the lanai lounger as if she were refusing to leave! Amazing view!

We booked this 2 days prior to arrival and got lucky someone cancelled! This was such a beautiful spot! I've never seen so many turtles! Bruce was very quick to respond to questions and we even had a chance to meet him! He's done a great job updating the place and it has everything you need. Even though this condo is part of a complex you feel like you have your very on private yard. It's located at the end and you don't see any neighbors or hear anyone at all. Hope we can come back and stay here again!

* I left my camera charger here and after a few weeks it turned up! Bruce was nice enough to mail it back to me!

Exceptional

We had arrived a few hours early. Bruce said they still needed to clean the place but we could come by & relax on the liani until the cleaning service was done. We had a excellent time. The condo was beautiful. Had everything we needed. The view is exceptional. Bruce & Greg are very helpful. It was my husbands 50th b-day & everything was perfect!!!! We were able to see whales & turtles right from the lani. Thank you again for a perfect b-day for my husband.
