About Andrew Ison
Hello, We fell in Love with the area years ago and couldn't get away from the Island! We loved the noncommercial feel of St. George island compared to the other areas of Florida such as Panama City and Destin. This island is Old Florida at its best, with all the amenities you truly need. That is why we purchased here and we would love to share our home with you and your Family this year! Come and Enjoy The Island away from it all! The Secluded and Private Plantation Gated Community make for the total getaway experience. Come down here and tell all your friends you've gone coastal!

Beautiful and relaxing
Great location and very relaxing. Short walk to the beach down a trail. If you don't want to walk just drive to the clubhouse where there is parking for both the pool and beach. Pool is kept clean and is nice after a day at the beach.
Perfect for large group
My extended family (3 generations, 8 adults and 6 kids) found it perfect for us! The pool was a hit with the kids & we loved the proximity to the beach, using the bikes & kayaks! Porches were perfect for watching the sunset.
The house was beautiful and spacious. It was very comfortable for our party of twelve.
This was our first visit to St. George Island.and the Island did not disappoint. It was beautiful. The house was ok and we had a couple of issues and had to call maintenance, who were quick to respond. The kitchen was well furnished. However, I wouldn’t rent this specific house again due to the distance to the beach and the parking situation at the beach. You can walk to the beach but it is a pretty good walk. With kids this is a deal breaker. Also, the house could use some updating with the furniture in the living room, it was a little worn. Also with all the vegetation around the house the gnats were awful. We could not even use the screened in porch or the screened in pool as the gnats were so small they found a way in. Even with repellent they were extremely bad. We had a good time, but I’m not sure I would pick St. George for another family vacation.
Love St. George!
Although we loved our time on St. George Island, we definitely had some issues with the property...
1) We arrived just a few minutes before 4pm and the cleaning crew/ property manager were still at the property.
2) When we got to the plantation gate, none of our names were listed on the forms. Luckily, the guy at the gate allowed us back but it took us 3 tries to FINALLY get everyone in our group added to the list.
3) We ran out of propane in the big tank that heats the pool on Tuesday. The pool drastically cooled down within 24 hours. It took several conversations with the property manager to get the tank refilled and the pool reheated. The propane company did not come out until Thursday morning. It was frustrating to have to spend time trying to communicate about this and get something done while we were supposed to be on vacation and had paid the $250 fee to heat the pool for the week. We were also told we would get money back and have not seen anything done about this yet (2 weeks after the trip).
4) The house was nice but definitely needs updated... Stains on the carpet downstairs, doors that wouldn't shut, tears/ holes in the screen over the pool, and light switches put in the oddest places (many of which don't even work anything).
It was a nice, large home for our whole family to stay in. Plenty of space for everyone to spread out and not be on top of each other. If you are traveling to St. George anytime soon and staying in the Plantation, I would definitely recommend finding the "No Natz" spray to help with the little biting bugs. They were horrible while we were there!
Access to the beach and to the Kayak launch were pretty easy to get to from this property. I could walk to the beach across the road in less then 5 minutes but if you are planning on taking kids, toys, chairs, etc. I would recommend driving the short distance to the clubhouse on Marigold to park and walk out. That was an easy walk that our children did every day we were on the island.
Thank you for booking our home. We do feel it necessary to inform any future renters that we answered the phone and spoke to you regarding your request when the pool propane ran out. We cannot help that it took the propane company a couple days to get to the house. The renter did complain about the pool pump being on constantly, which is a requirement when you asked for the pool to be heated! We have documented proof that are communication was five star with you regarding your vacation and requests. We are taking attention to the things that you mentioned, as we know we are used to 5 Star reviews from our renters, and would like to continue providing a clean and enjoyable home for our guests on St. George Island.
