The villa has an extraordinary view and extras not often found in villas here: WIFI, HDTV, 3 televisions, new kitchen with granite countertops, new master bath with spalike shower, fabulous mattresses, pool and beach chairs, toys etc. We have a beautiful, quiet setting nestled in the abundant nature that Hilton Head Island & Sea Pines are famous for. This is an end unit of a single level building surrounded by a lake, great oak trees and across from the 605 acre Forest Preserve. The villa is a short drive or bike ride from the Sea Pines entrance making access to restaurants, shopping, island activities, grocery stores, and much more extremely easy. We're a short drive or bike ride to the beach at the free Sea Pines Beach Club with shaded parking, restrooms, outdoor restaurant, tiki bar, and of course miles and miles of beautiful beach. This is truly a place for quiet natural beauty.
I live in West Chester, Ohio with my Westie 'Bungee'. My family has been coming to HHI since 1980. I have travelled all over the world but keep coming back to the serenity of Hilton Head and this villa.
Bobbi Johnston purchased this villa in 98
My villa is an end unit on a point surrounded by water on 2 sides. I love nature and have observed over 30 kinds of creatures and birds while sitting on my deck. Sea Pines is the best plantation on the island. A very important reason is the beach club and how beautiful the beach is there and the incredible ease in getting our family parked and onto the sand.
Bicycling to almost anywhere in the plantation. The closeness to restaurants, pool and tennis courts, shopping, and stables. My favorite thing to do is to go to the beach club at sunrise and walk and then at sunset ride my bike right at the waters edge. This is what I have seen from my deck: great blue heron, white heron, snowy egret, anhinga, osprey, yellow bellied sliders, alligators, deer, pileated woodpeckers, red head woodpeckers, cardinal, painted bunting, ibis, Carolina chickadee, eastern screech owl, bald eagle, bream, sea gulls, turkey vulture, green Enola lizard, solitary vireo, peregrine falcon, yellow crown night heron, wood stork, tree frogs, snake, coot, pilea, hawk, blue jay, mullet, raccoon, tufted titmouse, chickadee, pelican, and an otter.
This is the second winter we have spent in this cozy, comfortable villa. The villa is well equipped with many extras throughout. The covered back porch overlooking the beautiful lagoon is a great place to spend time watching the egrets, herons and alligators. My camera is never far away as the photo ops are amazing. The biking is excellent with trails throughout Sea Pines and the golf is also excellent both on and off the island. The few problems we have had have been taken care of in a friendly, speedy manner. This is my favourite place to spend my winter. Going home on Saturday will not be easy. Thank you Bobbi for sharing your bit of Heaven with us. Looking forward to our stay next year.
This has been our second year here at Unit 3319, and we plan to return next year as well.
The location and the setting are idyllic. There is a lagoon right outside the back porch and from there you get to see lots of wildlife. The owner has been awesome to deal with. She has responded immediately and favourably to any small problems we have had.
Carpets need a good cleaning and the front entry, porch and steps, are filthy. Make sure that everything that is listed is actually there. We expected a grill and it was missing and no effort to supply one was made when we made the owner aware of it. We have stayed in the villas for eight years and would not rent this one again. It is truly a rental unit.
We have been renting this condo for years and we are still awed by it's beauty and serenity. We normally rent for two weeks, because the condo is so roomy, comfortable, and feels so much like home.
Some of the highlights from this trip:
Hearing an alligator bellow one morning from the bank out back
Spotting baby alligators and an eagle's nest while hiking in the Forest Preserve
Watching an osprey dive for a fish right in front of us while swimming in the ocean
Kayaking and watching a dolphin using it's tail to fish
Watching the stars come out from the lounge on the second floor of the Beach Club
Thanks for sharing your condo with us and all the great memories.
My husband, our three young children and my sister stayed at this beautiful condo. We were visiting the area for the first time to attend a family wedding. The scenery from the back porch was amazing. We were able to see alligators sun bathing just feet from the back door. The location was convenient because it was close to the grocery stores, restaurants, etc.. The owner had all of the amenities provided. It was very clean, and we loved the huge shower in the master bathroom!! We also liked that it is the end condo, so you only have one neighbor. It was a very quiet neighborhood too.
My husband and I just got back from this wonderful condo!! Pictures don't do it justice and it was so wonderful and relaxing. We love to watch the Alligator come and do along with all the other forest preserve creature. Its location was great close to everything.!! We hope to come back again and enjoy this lovely place.
The villa is located in a plantation at the toe of Hilton Head Island. It is surrounded on two sides by a lake. The view from the deck is of the forest preserve. It is in a very quiet area. It is close to the beach, Harbourtown with its lighthouse and the beach club.
