On a lovely Washington Park block, elevated from street level, the home's orientation and bright feel/layout make it ideal for entertaining and relaxing (there are 23 south facing panes of glass, so it's flooded with natural light). The centerpiece is a spacious and open kitchen where 8 people can comfortably be seated at the large, waterfall island and birds-eye maple table. As well, home is adorned with beautiful, Brazilian Cherry floors throughout. The home is on two levels, both are above ground. The lower level is about 2000 sq. ft. and the second level is about 1000 sq. ft.
Two steps down from the kitchen is the great room that features a full-size pool table, two comfy couches, and a love seat, a gas fireplace, a new, articulating mounted, 65" Sony 4K HDR", Apple TV 4K, with 7.2 receiver and surround speakers (great for sports, concerts, binges). Three french doors open out to a larger private deck and create a unique inside/outside feel. The deck encircles a Silver Maple and offers comfortable seating for 10 people. Between the kitchen, dining room and deck, there are tons of dining options.
The front of the house closes off from kitchen/great room via french doors. It features a nice dining area, a fireplace and 2 bedrooms, one with a queen-sized bed and another with a full-sized bed. It can be made private from the rest of the lower level by closing the french doors. There's a business station on the lower level with a Chromebook and Printer (100 mbps Internet access throughout the home).
The upper level consists of a generously-sized master suite with a king bed, a sitting area, and french doors opening out to a deck overlooking the street and park (wintertime mountain views). There's a washer & dryer on the master level. The second bedroom, with queen and full-sized beds, connects to the master via a 5-piece Jack-and-Jill bathroom with a jetted tub and a spacious open tiled shower.
The house has an interesting and unique layout & flow, and is well suited for many guests (two 40 gallon hot water tanks, etc.). It just feels like a fun place, and it engenders enjoyment and relaxation. The neighborhood is great with what we feel is the most centralized and accessible Denver metro location. A HUGE bonus is that you can be inside of Washington Park from the front door in less than a minute! There are tennis courts and a lake within a 90 second walk!
Friends have offered complements on the inviting feel of the home. It has a nice spaciousness, but still retains a coziness and warmth. The home can be very comfortable for a large family or two, a few couples, or anything in between. The reviews have been flattering - come and check us out! ;-)
Guest Access -
There is a keypad deadbolt lock on the front door and a Nest doorbell. The rear of the house is an attached garage and a small area above (owner's area) that is not accessible to guests. The basement is not accessible. Tons of on-street parking.
While the home is optimal for entertaining, and definitely please do put it to good use, it is not a party house. It's our primary dwelling and we would like to continue good relations with neighbors. That said, quiet time is 10:00 pm as it is a family neighborhood. Please no partying on the deck after that time. Please be mindful of neighbors, Thanks!
No smoking/vaping of any kind on the property. Thanks! There are comfortable benches and picnic tables on the south side of Washington Park, a 300 foot walk.
No parties with outside guests, please.
