About the property

Secluded home in forest with 2 Bedrooms 1 full bath and 1/2 bath , (Sleeps 4-6)

This beautiful mountain home (featured in Flagstaff's August, 2009 issue of 'Mountain Living Magazine') is nested in fifteen wooded acres that provide a scenic getaway from hectic city life. It is remote enough to give you the seclusion you desire, but located only 10 minutes away from downtown Flagstaff. Up here, you will never run out of things to do. Whether you prefer shopping in historic downtown Flagstaff, golfing, hiking, skiing, fishing, biking, tennis, sightseeing in Sedona, the Grand Canyon or Painted Desert, there is an activity to fit every taste.

This is a 'pet friendly' property, so bring your dog/s! If you like to ride, bring your horse/s. This area is rich in great riding areas, with lovely trails out the back door. You won't find better riding anywhere in town!

Many locals feel that August, September and October are the BEST months of the year. The weather, temperature and fall foliage are fabulous. By the first week of October, you can enjoy Flagstaff's and the San Francisco Peaks' legendary fall color. Oak Creek Canyon's fall splendor begins a few weeks later, but lasts into November. AND don't forget the Coconino County Fair the last weekend of August.

Also, during the summer months, nearby Ft. Tuthill/Fairgrounds is in full swing with concerts, festivals, antique shows, beer-tastings and so on.

  • 3 of 5

Well equipped kitchen, pots, pans, baking dishes, utensils, knives, everything needed to prepare the food you brought. Good supply of spices&seasonings too

Less than 2 minutes to Flagstaff urban trails which provide access to all of Flagstaff by bike or walking

Acres & acres of national forest outside the door for dogs to run & exercise. Valerie is wonderful to accommodate us with our 2 boxers... hard to find a place that accepts Large dogs. Huge house, upstairs are 6 double beds,a futon couch, a sleeper couch plenty of room for large family or a scout troop :) direct tv,wifi, and a good selection of novels for those times you don't want to be outside

Also, deck & chairs on both floors to enjoy sunrise/ sunsets, or just enjoy the view & cool weather

Propane grill available too

It really doesn't get any better.....we could live there

Winter wonderland enjoyed from inside and out

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful, but all too-short stay, at this beautiful location. We loved the unique layout of the house - the top story was our favorite! We went sledding all day just down the road and walked back to thaw by the fire and have hot cocoa anytime we wanted a break. We found everything we could need stocked in the house. The owner was so accommodating and friendly - a big part of why we would love to return and would definitely recommend this rental to friends!
