Actually 'A Best Location' on Lake Michigan's scenic, long, sandy Sleeping Bear Sand Dune Beach and the Crystal River: enjoy two pristine bodies of water with awesome beach views of the Manitou Islands, Sleeping Bear Point and environs.
'Cozy Condo' is a special place and is best and ideally suitable for an active individual/couple who enjoy out-of-door activities and exploring our beautiful Sleeping Bear Dunes and Leelanau County. There is so much to see and do …. and the area is unique: no chain restaurants, no mega malls, no traffic lights (just a few blinkers), no factories, no mega malls, no billboards, no chain hotels/motels, pure waters, pure air, Pure Michigan!
Float the shallow waters of the Crystal River or Swim/Float atop the rolling waves of Lake Michigan! Walk/Jog the beach, stroll alongside the Crystal River, or walk the Boardwalk which stretches for blocks, just outside the condo building. Or, hike the nearby fitness trail.
Maybe, walk the beach to Glen Arbor, spend evening time on the beach at the nearby Lanphier Observatory for inspiring views of the Northern Lights and clear skies filled with constellations and millions of stars on clear nights.
Enjoy this condo with its affordable rates! Or, rent two or three condos for the family … or invite friends, perhaps another couple.
This entire Leelanau Peninsula has it all for a great get-away vacation: no mega malls, no traffic lights, no chain fast food places, no dwellings above three stories, no chain motels or hotels, no billboards, et al. But, Traverse City, only 35 minutes away, is a charming coastal city that has much of what you will not find in Leelanau County.
Leelanau County does have Vineyards/wineries, 5 or 6 charming coastal villages where you will find galleries, boutiques, cottage book stores, local farm markets, concerts, exhibits, fesitvals, unique shops/stores, fudge, A Ferry to escort you to/from South Manitou Island, local fishing charters, private sailboats/yachts, and dining from casual to five star (my favorite in LaBecasse, s Country French Restaurant in nearby Burdickville). And Leelanau County has exceptional scenery, rolling countryside terrain, wildlife abounding, golf, tennis, biking and hiking trails, plenty of nature and plenty of friendly people who love the out-of-doors.
'Leelanau': the Indian word for 'Land of Delight', and it truly is.
Glen Arbor, Sleeping Bear Dunes, Leelanau County: a place like no other in the world.
Note: This rental does not include access to a pool, OR my kayaks/canoe. The purchase of a service from the resort's Amira Spa MAY give you access to a pool: call the Homestead for details . Golf and Tennis courses are available nearby. Rent kayaks, Bikes, Canoes in Glen Arbor.

The was an excellent week at an excellent rate ..... We'd like to return next year for an entire month.
This was the perfect location to cycle in the Glen Arbor area. Located on the beach and close to the Heritage Trail Bike Path. This bike is a tremendous addition to cycling options in the area. It allows cyclists to connect with many options and avoid the traffic on M22.
Sandy, the owner, far exceeded my expectations. I had one minor issue (wifi connectivity) with the unit. Sandy was very responsive. She came up with a great solution.
We rented this place on very short notice but the condo owner was MORE than accommodating. The place is very reflective of its owner in the sense that it's smart, tidy, friendly and efficient. It was steps away from the beach and all of there amenities of the area. It was perfect for a quick getaway from the hustle and bustle. Don't expect something fussy here as it's just the right size for a couple like us. We loved this place and think the world of Sandy- she made it so easy to rent from her; we'd love to come back again when we can. It was perfect!
Quaint, cozy, and clean are just a few of the adjectives to describe the condo we called home for 6 days. It is located in the Homestead, just steps away from a private beach where immaculate sunsets pay homage to this most magical place. The condo was perfect for two - and had plenty of clean towels, blankets, and the right accommodations. Sandy makes sure that you truly enjoy your stay. We have never experienced such hospitality and kindness upon renting a condo. We made it our home for our week and created memories that will last us a lifetime. Surely, we will be back. We highly recommend renting this condo.
My husband and I had a wonderful time staying at The Homesteadsame in Glen Arbor. It was so relaxing walking the beach I'm the morning and watching the the sunset at night.
We had an awesome time and Sandy (owner/manager) made us feel so very welcome and took care of all our questions and helped meet our requests and needs. We loved the access to Crystal River right outside our patio door and the quick easy walk over the dunes to Lake Michigan. The condo was small but perfect for just the two of us--it had all we needed and more. The decor' was so cute and fit the lake location. Most importantly the condo was super clean! The location was awesome for taking in the area sights (Glen Arbor, Leland, Sleeping Bear Dunes, great restaurants, shopping, wineries, simply beautiful views) and just enjoying the Homestead grounds. We even took a ski lift ride to enjoy Music on the Mountain in the Homestead Resort. We simply loved the whole experience and heartily recommend this condo for a single person or couple.
This Cozy Condo was the perfect place for the two of us as we visited Glen Arbor and the Sleeping Bear Dunes Seashore. The Crystal River flows by the patio windows, the short walk to Lake Michigan Beach was just over the sand dune, and the night sky was unbelievable. We had a great time exploring the area. The condo was clean, more than we needed. The owner, Sandy, was not only helpful, but a pleasure to meet and easy to make arrangements with. We ate at Art's Tavern and enjoyed the roadside stands filled with vegetables, peaches and great apples. We would definitely come back again.
